Did Notre Dame commit an NCAA violation by parking its equipment truck outside a recruit’s home?
ND saying there no violation for visit a recruit home along with ND truck. NCCA saying they found section
number that show no any equipment truck trip for visit any recruit's home. I am worry about something that ND might getting in to trouble.

“I don’t think anything is going to come of it,” the source said. “It got a lot of attention because it’s something nobody has really done.

“If it comes out that it’s impermissible, so be it. We’ll self-report it. (It will mean) our interpretation (of the rule) didn’t stand up.”

"While Notre Dame’s use of a semi for a visit to a recruit’s home is unusual, it’s not unprecedented when it comes to unusual transportation methods. Texas A&M coaches have used maroon and white helicopter with the school’s logo emblazoned on its belly. The copter has been known to land on a recruit’s high school football home field."

the NCAA is busy investigating serious violations by SEC teams!

Oh, just kidding, I am sure they are all over this 'truck biz"!

What a joke! Of all the things going on at a lot of schools, the NCAA is going to pick this out as a violation? How about going after schools that pay their players? It's been going on for ever and continues on and on. Everyone knows it. The NCAA knows it's happening, yet nothing is done. But wait! ND takes a semi to a kid's house. Keep in mind they are not trying to hide a thing. Merely there to show the kid how much they want him to go to ND. What's the issue? Big friggin deal! Maybe they would be better talking to the the kid privately and offering him a salary and maybe housing for his parents. That way it wouldn't be a violation. ( sarcasm ).

^ play for pay is a concern, but more concerning is the violent acts, crimes against women, and vandelous behavior by scholarship athletes and the 'above the law' treatment conducted. That should be a concern for universities, law enforcement and the public in general exposed to the thuggish behaviors.

I am sure that ND checked with the NCAA before utilizing truck gimmick, since it appears to be something DIFFERENT. Only fools wouldn't have. The only valid excuse would be a solid precedent. If they didn't confirm the above, head(s) should roll - no sympathy. It would have been soooooo easy to clear with a phone call, letter.

I get the rule, but as was said it was used a transport for the coaches *giggle* (which is how I usually travel).

Seriously, I think it was a neat gesture and nothing will come of it.

Pets,
I agree 100 percent. Well said.

There's a loophole that, dare we say, you could drive an 18 wheeler through. It says staff can use university vehicles for transportation but not which kind

if someone points out the last time a secondary violation ever resulted in anything I will become a slight bit worried. as it is this stuff just makes me laugh, cause it just gets nd more press in the process.

I thought it was wise to run it past compliance first before doing it. It was far better than a helicopter landing at football games or Harbaugh spending the night at a recruit's house. ND spent a lot of money driving ND1 to Alabama and back. Kudos to the coaches who made the trip.

Amen!!!! "Visit"===sleepovers???? I do not think that is the intent.
