I am happy with the way this staff worked their tails off to go after top recruits as well as RKG's. This staff got in on a lot of the top guys a little late but really haven't been together all that long. Gilmore impresses me as a confident recruiter. He truly believes he can go into MSU and MICHIGAN area and pull in any recruit he goes after. I don't know how old he is but I bet he relates well with parents and grandparents alike. That helps in recruiting. Lyght bring experiences that he can relay to players. He has a calm effect in his voice. Denson reminds me of Rocky Balboa,he doesn't give up. He is relentless but not pushy.Sanford has that confident aura too. Booker is making strides in recruiting and will do well soon enough. Hopefully,they are getting in earlier with topnotch players in 17 class.Kelly& group have done a great job. Keep winning and graduating fine young men and they will reap the rewards for their efforts.
A lot of talk about other teams negatively recruiting against ND. The weather, academics and religon are always gonna be in play. As long as Kelly reassures players about it, players weill better understand the lure to ND. Would I have been overjoyed with a Davis,Kelly or McCollough? Sure! Am I cutting down the efforts of the staff? No way!! Say what you will but ND is starting to create a very good depth chart. Kudos to the staff!!!!
