Notre Dame has extended an offer to West Hartford (Conn.) Kingswood Oxfrod four-star linebacker Koby Quansah. Quansah, who is ranked as the No. 9 inside linebacker in the country, told Blue & Gold Illustrated last month that an offer from the Irish would shake up his recruitment,
"Notre Dame has great academics, which is what I'm looking for in a school and it also has great football. We have some alum from [Kingswood Oxford] that go to there right now, and it seems like a great place to be," Quansah said.
"It's just a humbling feeling knowing that I have the opportunity to attend a prestigious academic school, while leading [defensive coordinator] Brian VanGorder's defense to the playoffs."
The 6-1, 216-pound linebacker was born in Ghana. He scored a 1390 on his SAT a few months ago and also holds offers from Duke, Wisconsin, Harvard, Yale, Boston College, Michigan, Northwestern and Vanderbilt.
