I think Georgia Tech and USC are both underrated... I would be surprised if one of those teams isn't in the playoff, even we can somehow pull off something special and beat both. Stanford will be back and I don't know a lot about Clemson but losing that WR hurts them. Tough schedule for our Irish!

Clemson will be every bit the test that GT and USC will be. All three of these teams are formidable. But let's not get cavalier about Virginia. As BGI states, one game at a time. VA is the most important game on the schedule and you all know why.

The irony of that.
Northwestern beats Stanford and doesn't get ranked. Multiple SEC teams play rent a wins and get ranked, while SCar defeats UNC, and doesn't receive votes.

I really wish that only one lower division game would count towards playoff eligibility. What the SEC does scheduling powder puffs before big games is a joke and the fact that they have the media buying into the idea that their conference schedule is so good that they dont need out of conference games is criminal. Maybe if some of these teams played outside the south vs a team with a different style a true picture would emerge of who is the best team.

I wish no lower division teams counted towards playoff eligibility . And, I do post this on other sites. It is not very popular.. I like ND's scheduling although I do miss those Mich. St and Michigan rivalries.

There's no such thing as 'playoff eligibility.' The only eligibility is whether or not the committee picks you.
