National Early Signing Day Thread 2022

Great parenting there. Take the cash to play in the weakest conference in football. I'd get OU but the Oregon move is pure cash grab

Started a page to vent in so this one can be positive to the great kids that signed today waning to represent ND

What waste of time, money, and effort. Freeman must be pissed. I don't deny that Bowen is an amazing talent, but in a way I'm glad he's not Irish. Yes, I'm aware ND needs 5 stars and ND doesn't have enough to compete for a title just yet. But if this guy wasn't going to be all in with his commitment as a student-athlete to ND then what did ND really lose?

Austin Novosad, Jayden Limar, and Peyton Bowen.

Quiter a haul for Phil Knight.

I understand that Bowen pissed a lot of people off today in the ND fan base, but we need to get over the fact that prospects with options are going to go to the highest bidder. Be upset that we lost out on a potential star, but don't clutch your pearls about him going for the money, because 99.9% of the people on this message board would too if they had the option.

Congrats to the great young men we signed today. The ND football YouTube page has little short features with all of them. Quality dudes

And let's watch Oregon become Texas A&M. They're gonna have a bunch of spoiled kids who don't feel the need to follow the rules or work hard. I can easily suspensions and kids being kicked off the team coming. If you're doing pay for signing with us. Then what incentive does a kid have to work hard in the classroom and on the practice field?

It’s the way he handled it. Keeley also went to a higher bidder and isn’t nearly as negatively discussed. But let’s move on

I was thinking the same thing except Guyer is a hot bed for talent. I would not pull the scholly, but I would not spend much time recruiting him
I wonder how much this cost Nike
After the Moore decommit they might have had some money to play with

We landed two WRs named Kaleb Smith today. The grad transfer one should be an immediate contributor.

Here’s one to get the bored all pissed off. As HC, Brian Kelly landed numerous 5 star recruits. Freeman is 0-1.

Oregon had a few Ca. 5*’s a few years ago and they are elsewhere or did not pan out! You can buy the 5*’s but it is still a long shot to buy a NC. Oregon is slow onthe uptake to this! There are a lot of kids that work hard, get strong and develop long after H.S. The hard work teaches life lessons and toughness. My guess is Oregon will field a bunch of soft prima-dona’s; all looking ahead to the next level and playing to avoid injury!

The part that makes it odd is that he’s been “committed” to ND this whole time. If we had just been a favorite to land him during this whole process it’d be a pretty standard recruitment of a 5 star
But not really.

lol....definition of stirring the pot, but largely why he went there. He knew he could recruit differently there.

So what's up with Dante Moore? How come he flipped if Oregon has all this money to spend? As least they got the great Austin Novosad as a replacement.

he let his inner child out, and is now ‘brian the twerking dancing machine’!

Based on his comments in an article I read, he indicated that coaching and development was his highest priority, and he left Oregon because their OC left.

Oh shit, that's right, I forgot. I guess UCLA has a good QB coach.....

MF was HC for signing day last year and he landed a 5 star in Jaylen Sneed.... so at least be accurate lol
I’m tired of you using this argument. You could say the same for literally any coach in the country that his assistants do the recruiting. 2022 was BKs class. Period.

Sure.... you know we weren't recruiting Jaylen Sneed before MF arrived at ND. He didnt have an offer. Wasn't on our radar.

Did you know that MF knows Jaylen Sneeds coach at his HS and Jaylen Sneed committed to MF. Who was the DC and LB coach who did all the recruiting for LB Jaylen Sneed

Im tired of you not knowing the facts of something and trying to put it on me

2022 was MFs class, especially on defense. These last 2 classes were 2 of the best we've had in the last 15 years... coincidence? Don't think so

Schrauth and Payne weren't even committed til after BK left. Are they his recruits too??
