If you listen to the audio both sides seemed to be ready to move on without throwing blows. Then I swear I could hear one of them say "I bet you voted for Drumpfsky" or something like that. Then it was on...

I think what blew it up was when someone from the crowd threw water or beer. That's when the punches started flying.
