This might be a contingency plan just in case AG decides to bolt next year or the year after. ND defense held OSU to 17 points and literally got the best of last years Heisman winner .
I could see where he is in demand at the college level or the NFL. Redo his contract with incentives for a New Years 6 day bowl victory as well as any playoff win and another bonus for a national championship. ND has the money to do it or it will be more of the same old same old losing good assistants.
Mickens has done wonders with the CB’s but he does not have a proven top tier DC experience and their will be more growing pains.
