Michigan AD discusses renewing series with ND

The vast majority of stuff I shrug off. But no, not everything.

And if you are going to be so deadly serious, a question for you: why aren't you admonishing the ND fans who behave like teenagers?

I regularly do---and you know that. Many of the regulars who behave like that typically wind up on my ignore list. I therefore don't have to see that nonsense.

I guess that means the two times we beat ND 38-0 should have really been 44-0.

I was trying to stay with current events. But hey, let's open the way back machine. How did that terrible coach Tyrone Willingham do against Lloyd Carr?

I was trying to include all events in the series. But I can understand why you would prefer to cherry pick.

Also, Happy Easter to everyone.

I like the idea of alternating years with the Michigan teams.

I would also like to see is get out of the ACC completely and play more SEC schools, Northwestern, OSU, Nebraska and other good programs on a rotating basis.

The ACC affiliation was a terrible idea and hurt us in football and in the way ND is perceived overall.

I'm down with looking at the whole body. When Michigan was a national power and ND was a prep team playing Michigan multiple times in a year. And once they lost how long was the break? And then once the game resumed a generation later how many Michigan losses were there before they called a quit on the series again?

I agree that Michigan leads the series, but let's be serious about what those first 8 or so games were.

I don't think it is the greatest. But it was a good game and a quality rivalry. And with JH at Michigan could help the ND schedule. Besides. It isnt like the Michigan fans are going to stay away from here. Michigan lost what should have been 37-0 last outing and they still have a half dozen posters on here talking about the 1880's

1880's? How about we just look past the most recent game. Past 2 games? 3 games? 5 games? 7 games? All time? Any which way you look at it UM comes out on top. You really have to pick and choose your spots to see it any other way. Don't forget, Jelly Belly KeLLLy is 2-3 versus UM at a time we were down. Nobody realistically believes he (or the Irish) will fare better with Harbaugh now gracing our sidelines. Just be honest about it. And I agree with many of you here who don't really care if the series is revived or not. ND can surely get other suitable teams to play and I know I'd much prefer to visit venues and recruit in places not named South Bend, Indiana. Let's let sleeping dogs lie. #GoBlue.

Sincerely yours,

I think one home and home every eight to ten years would be great. That way you are never too far from the next series.

I think I'd like two years on, three years off. Repeat. Make each game feel extra special.

Maybe it will happen after 2025 when your ACC football deal is up.

All that. And you finished it by referencing games from the 1880's. I rest my case
