That 24-17-1 is telling in so many ways.
There is no understandable reason these two team should not have played each other as many time as MSU played ND.
Natrual Enemies is a fantastic book, and the best sports book I have ever read. If you haven't read it you might want to take a glimpse. Sure these tow teams do not like eachother, nor do their fanbase. That is a given, but when these two teams play it usually dictate the season out come.
Shame on Michigan for putting their baseless pathetic reason for dropping the Irish because ND didn't want to be apart of the Big 10, ( though many believe Michigan seen ND rise as a football power as the reason), and shame on ND for giving Michigan a taste of their own medicine. This game is bigger than their pride. The history is long even though they played so few games compared to others, but even when they are not playing the bantor between the two teams fanbase is fierce.
That in its self is telling.
This game IS THE game ND must play every season as well as SC, and Navy.
On a side note Nebraska's and Oklahoma need to renew their rivalry as well. I love that game too.
