Notre Dame men's basketball 2024 shooting guard signee Sir Mohammed has led Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park to a 13-2 record this season and has the Mustangs as strong contenders to repeat as North Carolina Class 4A State Champions.
Mohammed has eclipsed 1,000 career points as a senior and is averaging 15.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game according to MaxPreps. He is shooting 37% from the 3-point line and sunk four 3-pointers in one quarter on Saturday night in Myers Park's victory against Northwood, where he finished with 18 points.
Per Rivals, Mohammed is the No. 66 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class and No. 21 shooting guard. He was previously ranked as high as No. 54 overall in the class and has been nationally ranked since July of 2022.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pound Mohammed is on pace to become the second former Rivals100 player on the Irish next season. Head coach Micah Shrewsberry's current roster only consists of one former Rivals100 player, freshman forward Carey Booth, who was ranked No. 82 overall in the 2023 class.
