Busy week, so finally getting to these. Notre Dame men's basketball offered a pair 2027 in-state recruits who visited last weekend around the Miami (Ohio) football game: five-star SF Jaylan Mitchell and three-star PG Jason Gardner Jr.
Rivals ranks Mitchell as the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2027 class. Notre Dame became his eighth offer after Evansville, Southern Indiana, Illinois, Arizona State, Missouri, TCU and Maryland. He averaged 15.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game as a freshman at Evansville (Ind.) F.J. Reitz High.

He averaged 7.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game as a freshman for Class 4A state champions Fishers (Ind.) High. Gardner was with his Fishers team when it participated in ND's team camp in June.
