Notre Dame men's basketball hasn't had a three-game winning streak since December.

If the Irish (14-17, 8-12 ACC) want to extend their 2024-25 season, they'll need to reach a three-game winning streak with a victory over Pittsburgh (17-14, 8-12) today in the first round of the ACC Tournament at Charlotte, N.C.

Notre Dame is coming off back-to-back home victories over Stanford and California to end the regular season. Fatigue could play against ND following a four-overtime victory over Cal on Saturday.

Notre Dame beat Pittsburgh in Purcell Pavilion on Feb. 22 by four points, 76-72. The Irish were led by 21 points from forward Tae Davis and 20 points from guard Markus Burton. Notre Dame also needed a career-high 12 points from Cole Certa to pull out the victory.

Pittsburgh is led by a pair of 16-point scorers. Sophomore guard Jaland Lowe (6-foot-3) is averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Senior guard Ishmael Leggett (6-3) is averaging 16.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Notre Dame limited Lowe to 13 points in February. Leggett scored 21 points, but each of them committed three turnovers. The Irish struggled to defend 6-10 junior forward Cameron Corhen, who scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Corhen is averaging 11.0 points and 5.3 rebounds this season.
