We may never know.

Years ago I read Lou Holtz's Wins, Losses and Lessons and in it HOltz said he couldn't even talk to a possible recruit until he got the "OK" from Admissions. No idea if it is still true today. Sometimes it isn't just the coaches but another part of the university that determines whether a high school player will be offered.

I know Servite. Well.

That would never happen at Servite.

While Servite is an all boys Catholic HS that stresses academic discipline, many of the better football players at Servite are not Catholic. Has to be that way to compete in that league they are in.
