The redshirt was suppose to seriously compete for carries in a very young backfield. Charlie Strong is a very good coach, and he knows what he wants from his players. Some just don't fit in or aren't up to the task.

It will be interesting to see what their run game is like with such a young group of backs.
 
That's a weird situation, the RB was going to be the #2 or 3 guy behind the established starter and how they have a RB situation similar to ND's. It doesn't have the talent that ND does but Gray set all types of records in Texas before signing up on the 40 acres, I could see him being a workhorse.

The LB that quite after 3 practices though... wow, dude got mad because Strong moved a true frosh to MLB and he was second string behind that guy. His dad says it had nothing to do with that it was just about fit but that kid was talking about how he was going to be the next great MLB at Texas and it seems like he didn't want to get stuck behind Malik Jefferson.
 
Both were in the 3 deep. Glad you're back Sandgruff, although I am not sure Blue kachi is going to be ok with you taking a break from pumping his beef.
