Plenty of those guys in the NFL.another 3-star prospect ranked way down in the 900s.

Logan Saldate, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Wide Receiver

Done deal. Adds to a darn good combined WR group in 2023-2024.Anyone familiar with him? Just received cb
Never wrestle with a POS troll.Plenty of those guys in the NFL.
Sometimes you just settle and take what you can get!Hope he’s better than his rating
I don't mind the occasional 3 star (or less) that is the perfect system fit but these kind of kids are becoming the majority in the class.
It's turning into an emergency situation. ND has ZERO recruiting momentum right now. This class is starting to look like that year 1 class when Kelly came on board and just started taking anybody with a pulse for numbers reasons.
It's getting really bad.
It's really disappointing that nobody in the ND media covers this for what it is. It'll just be the typical off-season puff pieces and this kind of recruiting will even get praised from NDs media people.Could he be the next Golden Tate? Sure, if you like 1/100,000,000 odds. But some here would take those odds just to remind you that it happens occasionally. Could win the mega millions too. Might as well spend my entire income on tickets then, right?
It isn't even about gap-closing at this point. it's just embarrassing. We're Notre Dame. What in the world is going on this off-season? Someone (or a whole group of people) need to lose their job over this.He runs a 10.82 100 meter yard dash. Almost, 21 mph for a three star player . Kind of reminds me of those players Utah and BYU get year in and year out that are sneaky fast slightly under sized. I know, not a gap changer, but ND needs a slot receiver.
NDs class is down to #9 already and they already have 21 commits. ND stops recruiting during the regular season while their peers ramp up and start securing elite talent.Stuckey has Cam Williams (a legit 5 star talent) and got Greathouse, James, Flores who are all great receiver talents. Wide receiver is the least of our recruiting concerns. An occasional 3 star receiver is normal for Bama and Georgia too.
This is so stupid.I don't mind the occasional 3 star (or less) that is the perfect system fit but these kind of kids are becoming the majority in the class.

Where is the energy and excitement for this program ?
Oh my God the sky is falling...NDs class is down to #9 already and they already have 21 commits. ND stops recruiting during the regular season while their peers ramp up and start securing elite talent.
We're looking at a class that might fall out of the top 20.
What in the FLYING F is going on ? WHY DOES NOBODY SEE THIS FOR WHAT IT IS ?!? THIS DIRECTLY RELATES TO WINS AND LOSSES ON SATURDAYS. IS NOBODY ELSE TIRED OF GETTING RUN OFF THE FIELD VS ANYBODY THAT MATTERS?
Yes everything is fine hunky dory at Notre Dame.Oh my God the sky is falling...
Or maybe this year's class was insanely light on top end talent that could make it at Notre Dame. We got some and missed some. Now we move to next year's loaded class
Yup. We also have Meriwether, Thomas, and colzie for another year... And smith just got here... Numbers and talent is fine a wr. It would be nice to get a couple of the big names next year for smooth transitions, but a third this year wasn't a necessity.Stuckey has Cam Williams (a legit 5 star talent) and got Greathouse, James, Flores who are all great receiver talents. Wide receiver, like running back and now quarterback is the least of our recruiting concerns. An occasional 3 star receiver is normal for Bama and Georgia too. My concern is more with the lack of recruiting any gap closing defensive talent across the board when packaged with young inexperienced coaching.
None of these guys are starting when they walk on campus...including if we got canion. The depth chart is fine.Yes everything is fine hunky dory at Notre Dame.
Everything is just fine.
Someone shoot me in the Fing face.

Next time Jack Swarbrick or anybody who represents ND Football talks about winning national titles at Notre Dame, the entire room at the news conference needs to erupt in roaring laughter.
What a Fing joke this program is.
Sigh.
Never says anything positive. Sad human being. Bet your a ball at parties.Next time Jack Swarbrick or anybody who represents ND Football talks about winning national titles at Notre Dame, the entire room at the news conference needs to erupt in roaring laughter.

Kid just finished his sophomore season I believe? Those track numbers are ELITE, especially for a sophomore. He and his brother both with a wrestling background too - ain't no poohsee's doing that for a sport. I like the pick-up and Stuckey has been lights out thus far so let's give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.It isn't even about gap-closing at this point. it's just embarrassing. It isn't about 1 kid though. It is about the talent level on aggregate being on a steep decline. It's about the future outlook of the program and the total lack of momentum behind the current regime at ND right now. This stuff takes YEARS to fix too.Kid just finished his sophomore season I believe? Those track numbers are ELITE, especially for a sophomore. I do see it Chase. It isn't about 1 kid though. It is about the talent level on aggregate being on a steep decline. It's about the future outlook of the program and the total lack of momentum behind the current regime at ND right now. This stuff takes YEARS to fix too.
I understand that you guys don't see it. But I'm telling you from a 35000 ft view, things are just really bad and I don't want to have to wait another half decade plus for ND to right the ship. So im just really frustrated overall with the program and adding another ranked 900 kid to the class is kind of like the straw that's breaking the camels back.
Every message board has their POS fellas-----relax------he's ours. What is there to be positive about?
We went cheap on coaching staff.
We are going cheap on talent on the roster.
It's the off-season.
We have another class with yet again no 5 star talent.
Our gatekeepers to titles just signed 100 5 stars in the last 2 classes.
I want to win titles bro. I want to erect statues. i want to have the kind of performance that makes our legacy at ND proud. There's nothing to be positive about from that standpoint thought. It's all bad.
Right. There is nothing to be positive about. ND may as well join the MAC. In fact, maybe ND should just drop football altogether. They should just tear down Notre Dame Stadium and make it an outdoor theater. What is there to be positive about?

Right because he was also being trying to be sniped by Washington, who has one of the best offenses in the country. The kid is a perfect fit. Good academic, good speed, very athletic....and he KILLED his workouts and camps.Next time Jack Swarbrick or anybody who represents ND Football talks about winning national titles at Notre Dame, the entire room at the news conference needs to erupt in roaring laughter.

Yeah having a 5 star in that 9th wr sot has been the key to many natys. It isn't about 1 kid though. It is about the talent level on aggregate being on a steep decline. apparently you’re not a track and field news subscriber—-not even close to “ elite”. One of the most overused words on recruiting boards. He looks like a really good athlete wish him well. I participated in the decathlon in high school. My training partner was Kevin O'Connell who won the Tennessee decathlon in back to back years and finished 4th in the nation. I'm familiar with T&F thanks.apparently you’re not a track and field news subscriber—-not even close to “ elite”. One of the most overused words on recruiting boards. 10.8 is not "elite..." for a football player. 10.42 for Reggie Bush, as a HS junior, is.I participated in the decathlon in high school. My training partner was Kevin O'Connell who won the Tennessee decathlon in back to back years and finished 4th in the nation. I'm familiar with T&F thanks.
2nd in the long jump, in Sophomore year, in the most populated state in the nation. Yeah, not elite. 10.8 100 meter is absolutely elite for a football player, perhaps not a full-time track athlete. And again, as a Sophomore. Dude will probably be 10.4 when he arrives. I'm assuming ND hasn't signed too many players that run sub 10.8's in the 100.

And then we the community members who point it out are the bad guys/villains/trolls.
Is anybody at ND leadership being held accountable for this porous performance on the recruiting trail ?
When all is said and done, especially if some of our other 4-stars shake loose, we're looking at the kind of class that would make Ty Willingham's recruiting look good.
And this is the green coach we took a chance on because of his recruiting energy/prowess.
BIG S M H.

And then you add the inexperienced/ultra green coach with ZERO track record for developing talent on aggregate and it's just really really bad. This program's outlook is in the gutter right now.
