They stuffed the run, got great pressure,. looked a lot quicker than last year, and most of all didn't suffer any injuries. Well done lads!

They played well. I'll be curious to see if it keeps up. Texas OL seems to be very poorly coached (I know they were young too, but they were really bad). ND blitzed quite a bit too so its hard to gauge them, but they still played well.

Texas was almost as bad as Michigan last year - I'll want to see how they look for 3 - 4 games - BVG vs. Tenuta - will be like one of those video games where you have to fight yourself - GT - coach is looking to rip BVG a new one - should be fun to watch the next couple of games.

I'm cautiously optimistic. But remember they were starting two freshman on the OL. I remember when we did that once. It looked like the keystone cops of offensive lines. Our QB's were running for their lives and we couldn't get two yards on the ground to save our lives.

O/T AP report Texas police find loaded gun in woman's vagina. I think that's carrying contraception too far.

You make good points.

You have to be impressed with Okwara. He was all over the place, showed nice speed off of the edge on several passing plays, and seemed much more focused than last year.

Until proven otherwise I think the DL will perform at least on par w the OL

I said this a month ago defensive front 7 is a HUGE + for this team HUGE

Completely agree. Rochelle was a monster as well. Didn't have a stat line that blew your skirt up, but was very technical in the run game and disruptive on pass sets on the strong side allowing J Smith and Co. to fly over top to make plays. Hoping for even more improvement in the next few weeks leading up to GT. Excellence in D Line play can quickly snuff the option attack.
