Actually it won't. Ryan Leaf and J. Manziel got to the NFL. It is what happens when you get there.Draft day will settle any lingering questions about his decision.

If that is true then why is he projected as the 4th best QB in his own class? Many NFL people do not agree with you. But then again that's not new news to you anyway.Kizer, under right situation and coaching, will develop into the best of all the QBs in this draft. And, I am not alone in that evaluation. As you will hear.
The only way he goes in the first or second round is if a team reaches for a QB which we see teams do every year. Let's face it, it would have done him a world of good to stay at ND and develop into a first round QB. Oh well!He will go late first round or very early in the second. The good news for Kizer, he left before Kelly could ruin him. As he has with all the QBs he brought here.

Pot meet kettle.
Get back on your meds Approaching 30000 posts. Get a job.and play for fans like you guys? and a Head Coach that vitually campains against him?
Absurd! Getting away from the ND situation was his correct decision. Time will prove that, just as it has proven the past 7+ years. The truth will find you out!
Fans like us who actually support him, and root for him? Hell yes! No one wants to play for "so called" fans like you or Bugshit!and play for fans like you guys? and a Head Coach that vitually campains against him?

I think it please you (perseverare) for ND's struggles last season. You seem to be nothing more then a fair weather fan who only watches ND from a TV set and gets his info from a liberal media. You are noting but a one trick pony who knows only one thing and that is to bash a football coach based on what he has heard on TV. ND does not need fans like you, go root for Michigan or Purdue.A ND Kelly coached player suffering misfortune pleases some ND fans! And the pathetic explanation was he was unprepared by the guy charged with preparing him. Duh!
As to Kelly's DK veiled 'not ready' 'praise' :Flattery is telling the other person precisely what he thinks about himsel
NO, it does not please true ND fans.
Not a good day for Kizer. There is no doubt he should have stayed in school.Kizer is going to follow in the steps of Jimmy Clausen & Brady Quinn. He will hold a clipboard more then a football in the nfl. He went from being thought of as first overall pick to being thought of as a huge project now.
Agreed! When he wasn't able to complete a pass in the NC State hurrigame I lost respect for Kizer. I mean the defense was rock solid for him and the coaching adjustments were perfect all year. The only people who think Kizer is a big time NFL QB are Purse and Kizer himself. Kizer has B+ physical tools C- mental make up and D- mechanics.
With Fuller, Procise, C Brown and R Stanley gone from 2015. He folded under pressure and crumbled in the 4th quarter. ND was an 8-9 win team with just Tommy Rees last year.
Kizer will bang around for a few years as a 2nd or 3rd stringer. Excited for BW after last years 4th quarter QB grease fires.
How could he have not gotten better? How would he have developed more at ND if he came back this year? He'd be looking over his shoulder constantly and would get benched by lunatic Kelly at some point. He made the right decision when he knew Kelly was coming back.
It would've been so much better to go back to the QB killer coach, play for free, and get benched because of a bad pass.Leaving early because you think you're first round talent...only to get picked 52nd by the Browns...hard to see that's "the right decision". Lesson learned I suppose.

Now, he has a chance to develop into a future starter for a team that is having a great draft and make millions. You're right, horrible decision.
Stay one more year, work on the issues (footwork, decision making) that were pointed out in the scouting report...and work your way into mid-late first round signing bonus money next year. Of course nothing is guaranteed. Maybe he gets hurt. Maybe Kelly pulls him. However, other than the physical tools...what did he show this past year that made anyone think he was a first round talent? The players can take out insurance policies for a year to compensate in case of injury. If he stays, there's a better than average chance ND wins more games this year and his draft stock improves. Now, he doesn't get first round money AND he is currently stuck with Cleveland. If he doesn't get traded...he may start a few games but is probably heading for backup status unless he makes great improvement. Guess it still pays.
Not sure the Browns is the NFL.Kelly's hate train will be derailed soon enough.
DK is in the NFL
And .... '...agent's still working the phones looking for a job; any job'
You are the leader of the hate train. Does that mean you will crash and burn soon? Love to see it.Kelly's hate train will be derailed soon enough.

I would like to hear one name other then Kizer himself who thinks he is ready for the NFL? Name one person who thinks Kizer would not have benefitted for staying at ND for more year to develop? Good idea to sit on bench and carry a clip board instead of playing and started 12 games and working on his development. As a Brown fan he is going to rot in Cleveland like so many before him.I wish him good luck - I also agree with BK that he really wasn't ready, but not many are - coming back was also going to be a roll of the dice because his experience may not have trumped the competition from BW.
he will get about 5m 4 year contract, that includes the bonus, with about half or more guaranteed. Nice payday.
Kind of like you do with coach Kelly? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!^ only the least sophisticated are on the blame the kids train.
The real man is one who always finds excuses for others, but never excuses himself.
Fans like us who actually support him, and root for him? Hell yes! No one wants to play for "so called" fans like you or Bugshit!
Kizer got out before he got the Dayne Crist treatment.
and the way he gets dissed by the Kelly-only fans proves he made the correct decision. The efforts to adhere blame for the '16 fiasco were shameful.
One thing we cannot know is how any conversations between Kelly and GM's transpired. I have to believe that a GM who was potential drafter of DK reached out to BK. Based upon the way DK fell out of RD 1, one can only speculate that the comments went along the same lines as the public critique.
DK deserved better. One thing for certain, DK is better off today if only addition by subtraction.
Good Luck to Kizer.
