Kizer

Pass hangs a tad... but you have to like the pocket awareness, the pump and obviously keeping his head down field.

The pass was up to let the WR run under it. He appears to catch it in stride. Kizer could always throw the deep ball. Finesse /touch are the things he needs to work on. He has all the tools.

Not directed towards HRC, but there is a small but obvious segment of ND fans that will be hoping he fails.

Overall, he did look good -- albiet a preseason game, and against guys who probably will not make a roster. As someone noted, his passes hang a tad -- the better cover guys will eat that up.

But -- he kept his composure, and looked good overall. Something to build on.

What ND fan would wish bad on DK? He is a living breathing representative of ND in the NFL and I wish him all the best and a big thanks for all the memories. Kizer to Fuller will go down in my book like Huarte to Snow, Hanratty to Seymour, Theisman to Gatewood. Good stuff.

I rewatched the pass and this time from a different angle and concede that I was wrong. The pass was perfectly thrown. And no, Perse I'm not rooting against Kizer. I'm a huge fan of his.

@Bodizephax we are only 18 posts away from Perse's magic night.

He had a pretty good first game. He could win the starting job as a rookie, although not sure I'd want to start for that team. They may be chasing an 0-16 record again, which they narrowly avoided last year, going 1-15.

Nobody hopes the kid washes out you passive aggressive whiner. Just because a handful of posters who actually know football pointed out his warts, while you spent 2 years with your nose buried in DK,s jock strap and kept blaming Brian Kelly for every bad throw, bad read and drive killing interception...does not mean we do not want DK to succeed...it just means we are not some delusional jock sniffing buffoon posting drivel on a internet forum.

Man I hope he can become the QB for the Browns for the next 15 years or so. Bring the Browns a SB and he will be a God in northern Ohio. I was hoping BQ would have been the man. Go Browns!
