South Carolina isn't a bad team, and it was at South Carolina. But A&M will still be tied for the lead in the SEC after this.

Not so fast my friend.. all time Vandy 618-655 0 conference titles. N Illinois 614-530 12 conference titles. N Illinois has been to 15 bowls compares to 8 for Vandy. Vandy has never won 10 games in a season. Also N Illinois went to 2013 Orange bowl so in recent years they are a very good mid major.

SCe is pretty good. They almost beat LSU, they almost beat Bama. Now they finally got one.
No doubt worthy of a call out although I wouldn’t incorporate MAC teams as a whole within the parody we’re seeing. This is an outlier we’re all aware of unless you have more instances of MAC teams beating ranked teams this year?

I know A&M was ND’s signature win but I’m kind of glad they lost. It would piss me off to seem them ranked ahead of ND at 11-2.

The difference is, and it's a HUGE difference. Vandy plays 8 games vs the SEC, N. Illinois plays a bunch of MAC teams and the typical 1 game vs a P4 team where they normally get spanked for a pay check.
I would hope we could agree on 2 things and move on already.

some on this forum need to stop trying to make N. Illinois into something they aren't. They are not a "really good team" They aren't even a good team, they are 4-4 and close to dead last in the MAC conference. They suck.

We had 2 block FG’s. ND lost that game by piss poor play. Not by NIU beating pushing them around. We also beat the crqp out of a ton of teams, including 3 top 25 teams and if Army wins next week we have a chance to beat 4. It’s not how you start it’s how you finish. If and stays in character they have a chance to host a game. LFG Irish!
