Our Alabama site caught up with Notre Dame DE commit Keon Keeley following his visit to Alabama this weekend.
Here's what Keeley said about Alabama and Notre Dame:
"What stood out to me is how much they emphasized the importance of after life in football, and how they prepare you for that."
"I’m still committed to Notre Dame. It was a great visit. I am just taking things slow, but I could see myself coming back. I just like how they coach, what they expect on and off-the-field and the importance of life after football."
My take: Notre Dame still feels good about keeping Keeley in the class, but it's clear it's going to be a fight. If Irish commits are going to take visits, it's better for that to happen now rather than later. Now Notre Dame can work to get Keeley back on campus in the spring/summer to remind him why he committed. The recruitment of the Reader family is important for ND.
