What a day Saturday was. Made the 3 hour drive to the ACC Championship game Saturday with the wife. Had a very nice dinner at Daryl's (highly recommend this place). The coliseum was packed to capacity with 22k and nearly 20k had to be UNC fans. This was easily the best college basketball environment I have ever been in, you could tell it was a tournament championship atmosphere and we were glad we sprung for the lower level seats. It was definitely a road game as there was just one other couple who were ND fans in our entire section. But, as we learned going to ND football games many years ago, there is nothing sweeter than following your team on the road and winning in a hostile environment. After the game, with 90% of the crowd departing UNC boosters, it made it easy to walk down to court-side behind our bench to watch the trophy presentation. We talked to Harvey and Horace Grant, shook their hands and congratulated them and told them how much we have enjoyed watching Jerian over the years. We also got to congratulate and shake hands with Jack Swarbrick, Mike Brey, Pat Connaughton, Zach Auguste, Jerian Grant, Steve Vasturia, Martin Inglesby and Harold Swanagan. It was quite a memorable night. Can't wait for the 2016 ACC Tourney in DC next March.
