Harbaugh is a great coach. I am not a Michigan fan but some of the stuff they do is really good and intelligent football. He has revived that program big time. With Peppers that game has a different outcome. Next year they may win it all. Hopefully we dont have to play them.
All I know is there was some extremely hard hitting going on from both sides. Made me think of what it would be like. The FSU QB is a gamer. He took shots and did not waiver. Cook too. It was a fun game to watch, especially the Chief falling off the horse before the game started. Loved seeing Bob and Brian Griese in the booth together. Can't wait for the Irish to get to that level of play.

Michigan 1-3 down the stretch. The teams they played will have a losing record in the bowls. ND's schedule has so far seen Army, Va Tech, Stanford, NC State and Miami all win.....Michigan and the big ten played a weak schedule and its a weak conf this year which shows. That game was not even close. FSU dominated. If not for the muffed punt and the pick I doubt Michigan even scores. They had 80 yards offense the first half. The media throws way to much love Harbaughs way...if BK yelled at people and played that schedule they would be all over ND.....and so would the fans.
Harbaugh did a great job at University of San Diego, Stanford, the 49ers, and now Michigan. He has a penchant for going to a program in trouble, with a low bar to clear, and he overachieves. I think his shtick is better suited to the college game, as three or four years is about anyone can take before rejecting his methods and message. While a better coach than Kelly, I can only imagine the bad press he would generate for ND, with all his antics. His teams play hard physical football, which we all yearn for ND.

Bodi clearly appreciated the support and prayers he and his sister received from his fellow Domers, but I strongly suspect he wants the other aspects of his life to return to normal, including the give and take banter that takes place on this board. Yeah, let's keep breaking his shoes though. Both he and Shaw flew in for Konrad Reuland's funeral on the 23rd. They and their entourages displayed a degree of class, dignity and compassion that is unparalleled. Incredible...
PS His first college game as a player he beat defending champ and then #1 Miami. His resume makes Colonel Walter E. Kurtz' look pedestrian.

His dad is a Doctor and says no. The problem was the location. It happened in a critical area of the brain that controls a variety of functions. Anywhere else he survives.... He wrote a very spiritual message to his mom before they put him into the induced coma. He knew what he was up against and put himself in God's hands. Just brutal...tragic. such a great guy... The funeral was a celebration and his dad's eulogy brought down the house. The outpouring of love and support from the Ravens, 49ers, Jets, Colts, NFL, Stanford, all his hs teams was extraordinary.
Konrad was in incredible shape and was being contacted by teams to be ready for the playoff run. The life of NFL journeyman is pretty Spartan. He was a workhorse and did tons of stuff that don't show up in stats. Shaw had the team wearing KR on their helmets....

I understand Harbaugh is a good football coach but I don't understand all the hype he gets. Like I said he has not won a super bowl or even been near a National Championship as a coach and he is getting older. In my opinion you have to win at least one Super bowl or one National Championship to be considered a great coach and Harbaugh has done neither, Michigan is losing a ton of seniors this year so next year will be a rebuilding year. Brady Hoke took Michigan to a 11 and 2 record and a big bowl win--do you consider Brady Hoke a great coach?

Harbaugh had a very good run at Stanford...got to a Super Bowl in the pros...and is just now in his second year at UM...getting to a major bowl. He inherited an average Michigan team at best. Charlie Brown he ain't. And he's just getting started.
Harbaugh is one of the best coaches, regardless of league, in football today and to think otherwise is nonsense.

Thanks for the entertaining post. Jack Harbaugh was an assistant at Iowa from '71-73 and he coached DBs at um from '73-'79.
When he was HC at Western Michigan his best season was 234 points in 11 games. As HC at Western KY his best season was 432 points in 15 games. I am sure you saw a lot of those games. You truly are an insufferable liar.
Jim Harbaugh put up 524 points this year averaging 40.3 ppg. (If you average it out over 15 games games that would be 600 pts or over 170 points better than his dad's best year.)
