Best of luck to the kid.
He was stuck pretty far down the depth chart. I hope he gets to pursue his dream of playing football.
It should be easier to accomplish the depth chart climb in Ann Arbor.
That was his stated reason. The reason was he was not likely to see the field at all this year. And, based on where he sat in the depth chart, he may have never seen the field.

Im beginning to think you would give Harbore a blowjob if you could. You are the definition of scUM fan and quite pathetic too.this kind of response is always funny to me. Not sure why fans feel the need. Have you looked at UM's D-line? Not a weak spot. Have you seen the H.S. kids this staff is in on? Do you really believe it will be easier to play on UM's D-line in 2 years (Williams will have to sit a year) than ND? If you recall, Jhonny was a Mizzou verbal before flipping to ND. He said yesterday that he never felt comfortable at Notre Dame. Maybe it's because of the competition or maybe he's like a lot of kids who go away to college and never quite get acclimated. My guess is it's a combination of many things. He likely also sees one hell of an opportunity to get coached up which maybe he didn't see at ND. After all...Harbaugh.
Simple fact is he wasn't going to "survive" at ND.
There was a subtle paring of ways. Read the tea leaves as related to his transfer.
mbdBerrien Springs is right across the state line from South Bend. I think Williams meant that he chose ND because of proximity to home. But now that his family issues seem to be resolved, he's decided to go elsewhere, someplace that may be a better fit.

that would not be adequate reason to give full release from a scholarship "oh, I used you when I needed you, but I don't need you anymore, so I would like to use someone new"?
24-17-1
This kind of post reminds me of when some ND fans would cite our record against southern cal when we were getting drilled by them on an annual basis---as if that somehow lessens the pain of losing. We both know it's really a feeble retort. When that's your only comeback, you're clearly grasping at straws to take solace in something. Evidently, last year's loss and knowing you have to live with it for awhile still really stings.

Ha, no, not quite. We beat you twice 38-0 in the recent series, so I suppose you were due. Congrats on your win, but unless you guys have a change of heart, Michigan will continue dominating the all time series for the foreseeable future.
Not really. ND has won 2 of the last 3. And the series is tied 15-15-1 since it resumed in the 1970's.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, except for one small problem: UM wasn't getting drilled by ND on an annual basis like ND was getting drilled by USC. In fact, the record speaks for itself:
1 yr lookback: ND 1-0
2 yr lookback: 1-1
3 yr lookback: ND 2-1
4 yr lookback: 2-2
5 yr lookback: UM 3-2
6 yr lookback: UM 4-2
7 yr lookback: UM 4-3
8 yr lookback UM 5-3
9 yr lookback: UM 6-3
10 yr lookback: UM 6-4
15 yr lookback: UM 8-7
Series: 24-17-1
So, yes, ND got the better of UM last year but that's about all you got over us.

Nah, I'd put citing an all-time record against an opponent after getting drilled by them in the last game to end the series in the same category---especially when you guys were shooting your mouths off about drilling us in the weeks leading up to the game. It smacks of desperation and trying to save face (which is what I thought about the ND fans who cited our record against southern cal). Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion. Best of luck next season, especially against the Buckeyes.
I don't think it's fair to select data from time periods that conveniently support your opinion. You have to include the whole record. ND fans would do the same if the roles were reversed.

Let schdenfreude be. Next he will be crowing about Michigan's huge lead in its series with Ohio St. Michigan currently has an 11 game bulge in that series, you know. Who cares if Michigan has only beaten Ohio St. once since 2003?

Yes, it is true that Michigan has dominated BOTH of our blue blood rivals throughout history. It won't be long before we are back on top.
