Never know -- the next guy could be worse for ND
"He seems more progressive. Who knows"He seems more progressive. Who knows.
Uuuuuuh, he's a second generation Notre Dame grad, and those are "connections..." as well."He seems more progressive. Who knows"
True.
Define "progressive" (as it relates to ND)?
Since he has connections to NBC, and now that NBC has their foot in the door with the B10, does this guy lead ND to the B10?

Interesting in what way?One thing that hit me is he mentioned the idea of change or die in regards to NBC and what he needed to do for them. Seemed kind of interesting.
Interesting in what way?
Explain.
So sad for you to go through life so terribly uninformed.maybe he’s not a stubborn old curmudgeon unwilling to pay coaches and adapt before 2050.
Don't bother. There are vocal minorities on many many issues. So sad for you to go through life so terribly uninformed.

Sitting behind a keyboard, isolated, talking shit in a public forum about Jack Swarbick.OP, it is a blessing that we all are granted the right to have opinions and express them...it is unfortunate that yours are so ill-formed, and, at the risk of being accused of "elitist behaviour," so completely wrong.
Thank you, Jack for your stewardship, and for bringing so much to the program(s) and the university.
You’re totally clueless !maybe he’s not a stubborn old curmudgeon unwilling to pay coaches and adapt before 2050.
How do you know that, did you take an official poll ?actually most agree and are glad he’s gone.
You’re totally clueless !
What changes ?Remember that when he comes in and makes positive changes quickly.
Nopeactually most agree and are glad he’s gone.
I learned today that you admire Bryan Driskell, and I have read you do not admire Jack Swarbick.Remember that when he comes in and makes positive changes quickly.
Gotta like the fact that he has a media background. It’s far time ND returns to its rightful place as the Big Dog on the scene. Flex some muscles. Innovate. Invest. Drown the competition. One thing that hit me is he mentioned the idea of change or die in regards to NBC and what he needed to do for them. Seemed kind of interesting.
This. Perfectly said.Gotta like the fact that he has a media background. It’s far time ND returns to its rightful place as the Big Dog on the scene. Flex some muscles. Innovate. Invest. Drown the competition.
What a dumb statement.actually most agree and are glad he’s gone.
Maybe Swarbrick isn't either.maybe he’s not a stubborn old curmudgeon unwilling to pay coaches and adapt before 2050.
Nuh-UH. Most agree with ME. Because they aren't stupid.actually most agree and are glad he’s gone.

Make me.Stick to posting once every 6 months, Bob.
We don't agree on much. Here, we do.Jack was a great AD for us. He will be missed. Probably going to run ncaa next- from a different position😂

Solid. He would be better at running NCAA than he would at running ND. Maybe he can use his influence to put some restraints on NIL. Holding one school back from better facilities and NIL isn’t best for ND student athletes, but regulation I. This case could be better if done as an organization. The NCAA as a whole could use some of his administration.
Solid.
Please don’t speak for all of us. Jack was fine with ND being a mid level team and taking in the $$$$Wrong again....
How does a mid-level tea play in/for three (3) National championships in ten (10) years ?Please don’t speak for all of us. Jack was fine with ND being a mid level team and taking in the $$$$
👍Some people seem to think it is easy to run the athletic programs of one of the handful of independents left -- and the only one with serious aspirations to compete at the highest level across a broad range of sports.
Not speaking for "all" of anyone...Swarbrick did as well as anyone could given the fact that Notre Dame carries itself as a university first and a sports enterprise second...and he was the ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, not the general manager of Notre Dame's minor-league football team...Please don’t speak for all of us. Jack was fine with ND being a mid level team and taking in the $$$$
