We are a 9-3 team now. Maybe 10-2 if we get a couple breaks but could also be 8-4 with a couple breaks going against us.

Fans on here keep calling for a "run the damn ball" offense but we will lose to teams through the air. If that isn't irony, irony doesn't exist.

You can keep harping on that LSU game if you want, but the fact is it was a game that went to the wire against an ok team, not a real good one. I keep pointing out that when you run the ball a lot without a real good defense, you basically guarantee, at best, a close game against good talent. The only difference, when you break it down, between that game and the UL game is a made FG. Which is what happens when you have a lot of close games...you win some and you lose some. Look back at 2012. We run a ball control offense with an excellent D. We still had to get some breaks to win some close games. Again, that was with a much better D (don't kid yourself into believing this year's will be as good or better) and a better kicker.

So we go into 2015 with a relative new QB who isn't known for his passing, a good but not top level defense, and a true freshmen kicker. We play three teams that can put up points in USC, Clemson, and GT. All three in the first 7 games.

This really isn't a recipe for a playoff bound team.
