noticed that some of their receivers seem to get wide open without a defender within 5 or 10 yards of them.

Why don’t our receivers get that kind of separation ?

Frankly, they have many times this year and Book hasn’t seen them for a combination of reasons, going through his reads too quickly, not going through his reads and abandoning the pocket too quickly, locking onto a receiver, running and not keeping eyes on the field, etc... I only see the incidents as shown on TV. The Georgia game for example, they showed three times where we had a wide open receiver down field, etc... Not sure about last night. Thought Book’s passing was very subpar last night, but his running and decisions on the option were outstanding.
