Worst game day coach who has blown at least 2 games per year. After every F&ck up, the board would go crazy and by Tuesday he was once agian the "right coach". Well, he has no more excuses. Put up or shut up. For you moronic individuals who don't remember or who were not born yet, 8-5 does not cut it. He has his team now. Anything other than a 10 win season for this poser is a failure. If he goes 8-5 again, will you clowns accept this mediocrity again? If so, ND is done. The fan base expectations will have deteriorated as much as the program. And with this incoming class of 3-star misfits, the future is as bright as North Korea's crop harvest.

Anyone who remembers when this program meant something in the CFB landscape should scream out that this little, fat, purple-faced toad is not the answer.

Of course, Bodi, Continual, Pennick & Gipper will still be on their knees pleasuring the king of mediocrity.

8-5 is new normal in the modern era of ND Football - the most expensive project ever on the ND campus is the Football stadium - administration is quite happy with the state of the program. No need to trash Kelly - he is meeting expectations and should easily win 8+ games this year. Stay Calm and Carry On. Go Irish.

Are you a third grader? Does every comment have to have insults directed at other Irish fans? I know that you are a young person but your anonymous bully tactics is something out of a spoiled child playbook. You're not the only one. There are others. Make your point like an Irish fan talking to other Irish fans at a tailgate. This board has turned into the Jerry Springer show with some of the exact mentality. Is anybody running this board or is it pretty much every man for himself?

I've notices that you've never responded to my post about this casks for ND, but continue to bash it all the time.

I'm gonna repost this for you, so I can hear your fact based response on how this class sucks

Repost:

People seem to forget that rankings are coming out earlier and earlier every year. There will be 3 more reran kings of this class by Rivals!! These are far from the final rankings

When you have multiple prospects who not only have offers from Ohio state, alabama, Oregon, etc. but we're priority recruits for those schools... It doesn't matter of they're 3*'s 18 months before arriving at college.

Wait and see the final rankings. And even then, look at some of these kinds offer lists

Eichenberg - will likely end as a Top100 4* (possibly a 5*). Offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Tenessee, Michigan State, Miami, Penn State, Wisconsin, etc.

Boudreaux - will likely end as a Top250 4*, maybe Top100. Had the highest SPARQ score at The Opening for an OL in the last 3 years. Offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Miami, Florida, Georgia, Michigan State, Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, etc.

Stepherson - will likely end as a Top250 4*. Was the MVP of 2 different Rivals events this summer, plus both Rivals and 247 had him as the MVP of Irish Invasion. Offers from LSU, Michigan, Miami, Florida, Louisville, Michigan State, etc.

Chase Claypool - Rivals staff has already confirmed he's slated for a MAJOR bump into the 4* rankings at the end of summer. He was a too performer at several camps this summer. Will end at least as a 4* Top250 maybe Top100. Offers from Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, Miami, etc.

Love - Solids shot at ending as a 4*. Not a guarantee, but he light up the camp circuit this summer. Was a top performer on both offense and defense for the IMG 7v7 camp...which was loaded with 5* and Top100 players.

Not to mention guys who may well end up as 3* because of questions about pieces of their game or the positions they play in high school, but still have BIG TIME offers (and are really good prospects, who are hard to land):

Perry - Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Michigan State, Auburn, Clemson, Pitt, etc.

Elliott - Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech

These are quality players. There is a reason we have 6 different "3* Players" committed who have an offer from at least one of Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, or Oregon (and some have several of those offers)

Not all 3*s are equal, and jumping to conclusions based only on star ranking...ESPECIALLY THIS EARLY IN THE CYCLE...is a big mistake.

Based on current star ranking some people would be "meh" if/when we land Devin Studstill, but that would be a MASSIVE mistake

Let things play out and try to look a little deeper than just the current/early Rivals star ranking (or any star ranking at any point, for that matter)

But to your point, yes Kelly need results this year

He has the team he needs to get those results, but he must perform

Ranking the commits who are currently ranked as 3* or in ranked 4* (just my opinion)

1. Eichenberg
2. Bourdeaux
3. Elliott
4. Claypool
5. Stepherson
6. Okwara
7. Love
8. Ade
9. Perry
10. Jones

If the commit I would rank:
Studstill - 3rd, above Elliott
Vaughn - 6th, above Okwara (actually the 250th ranked recruit currently)

I think that everyone from Love and up has a solid shot at earning a 4th star, perry has a shit too (mainly because of his exciting physical tools and that he could be projected to LB where his coverage issues shouldn't hurt him so much)

^ well said. Stepherson is going to get a huge bump. The kid is going to excite ND fans.
So is Claypool. Almost definitely a four star the next time they adjust. There was just too little info and film on him early in the process.

Well I suppose congrats are in order?! Good job op you must be satisfied... Oh wait maybe we should wait and let this play out. Do you even truly hope you are wrong, are you a troll, or just miserable in constitution sort of like a chick with resting bitchface?

Rivals has already said he'll be in for a major bump
247 also bumped him up to 4* Top250 status already as well

As the kid gets more visibility (and hopefully some actual coaching) he's going to continue to shoot up the rankings

He's just very a very athletic, very natural player who can be a legit 6'4" 235lbs in college.
There is just a mountain of potential when you can combine that kind of size, athleticism, instincts, and still very raw talent

OK corhole king. Or, as you might be better known, Turd Burglar.

name calling ? really ? how mature of you.

Maybe the OP did not deliver the message in the correct manner, but I can't really disagree with the fact that Kelly will have no excuses this year. This is his team. His recruits. His coaching staff. 8-5 just does not cut it anymore. And his recruiting this cycle is well below his previous efforts.

sched is tough. 8-4 will not cause mass hysteria.
7-5 and we will be debating if that is the new standard.

JMO: 8-4 is as likely as 10:2 and 7-5 as likely as 11-1 and 6-6 as likely as 12-0
9-3 and a bowl win is realistic

I don't agree. he has a talented team. If he coaches them the correct way, we should win at least 9 games. When i say "coach the correct way", I mean coach to the strength of the team. Run the ball. Control the clock. Do not have Zaire chucking the ball all over the field. Let Zaire grow into the position. Coach like we played LSU!

I didn't know Brady Hoke was a poster here.
