Hope Sark is watching Buffalo vs Baltimore

Buffalo running running running the QB near the goal line. No pitches 8 yards behind the line of scrimmage and sweeps.
Yesterday the University of Texas extended Sark's contract through 2030, and doubled his salary from 5.6 to 10.3 million per year.

Doesn't change the fact that he made an incredibly poor decision at a crucial juncture of a national semi final game that likely ruined any real chance of his team winning. So there's that. Apparently in your eyes a contract extension makes that moot.

Easier to coach from a couch.

Fans can and do catch single mistakes from coaches. That doesn't mean the fans know coaching better.

Sark made a bad decision on that play. Period.
Right, just like you can compare RL to Josh Allen, when you notice god damn they are pretty damn similar, and not have it treated as if you're saying RL is directly as good as him. You can't really do that, because dudes never have enough detachment or equanimity to keep their composure enough not to fly off the handle if you say something like that. Though when it comes to bad play calls, the temptation is too great, fans are just going to override their usual deference to what are the equivalent of the generals in the de facto, vicarious blood and guts warfare that is American tackle football. Especially if you show cowardice somehow, and favor finesse or cunning over raw dominance and power. And it ends up not working. They're ready to frag you for that.

And Sark is just a little wuss anyway. He seems like a genuinely pretty nice, very much unassuming guy. And not imposing in the slightest. That's probably why he didn't have the balls to just run it four times. And just unacceptable when you have Arch Manning, who you could have inserted, a big-ass, athletic TE looking dude for a QB, and really just thrown the gauntlet down with a coaching move like that. And he went total west coast wuss instead.

Hell that's your comparison to Josh Allen, Arch Manning.

I don't make strong judgements unless it is egregious. It simply was on that bad Sark call. Yes, he should have done a power run as often as it took...no need to increase the distance to the goal and tempt fate.

But, as we agree...no way in hell do I compare to him or any other coach.

Put me in charge and Texas would have lost by 60 points minimum!

:D

Fingers crossed for our Fighting Irish today. On this topic, I trust Marcus. I have some doubts about Denbrock...who is not bad, but not yet great, who can be the margin of difference in this type of game.

My analytics say ball control offense, using all the backs, not just RL. I really hope the OL can facilitate this type of game. As otherwise I am not sure RL's arm can win this game.

Finally, yes, I have confidence in the ND D. Again, I am not a great coach by any means, but will note any obvious mistakes...as well as great calls. Pray for victory.

DEUS VULT!

Well I think we can definitely win. Pretty much by doing what we've always done and coming through on defense. I really hope Love is fairly healthy, we could use some big runs, doesn't have to be 98 yard TDs, but some nice chunk plays, that's kind of been the formula. And of course, not just to be fair, but because it's true, MF is the perfect coach to have a team especially focused and fired up for a championship game. It's a gift that he possesses. And so we'll put our best foot forward.
