I've watched Golson's last 2 games and he has not looked good, despite all that talent and weapons around him. Looking forward to seeing what Kizer can do for ND.
The storyline that developed after Malik committed was finally the dual threat QB that Could run Kelly's offense. Kizer's commitment seemed to fly under the radar sandwiched between Malik and Wimbush, who was even more highly touted than Malik. Kizer was a highly rated dual threat QB in his own right, and an excellent get for the Irish, and we'll see that today. He won't come close to being the runner Malik is, but he will extend plays, and he is supposed to have a really nice accurate long ball. The only knock I've read is he can be erratic with his short throws.
Yeah Bodi, Travis Rudolph is as good a kid as he is a player. He's a ND RKG All Day long. I tried the best I could but failed to sway him!!! I hope he ends up playing with a better QB than #6 his last couple of years.
welcome aboard the Kizer express; I am glad the fans have finally realized he is a player! seems like he got no respect from his commitment. I hope those recent 'boarding' do not kick him to the curb at the 1st mistake!
If Kiser has a 63 percent completion rate today, zero turnovers, bails ND out and prevents a safety with his legs, pancake blocks a defensive lineman out of the game and goes 5 for 5 in a perfect TD drive ND should have no problem with GaTech. Which he should do with the experienced ND OL.#6 at FSU is terrible. How BK got that guy to be productive enough to get ND to a NCG is beyond me? Did you see the look on Fishers face every time #6 came to sidelines to explain his latest and greatest screw uo?
Priceless!!! Hey Jimbo welcome to BK,s world. Kizer may not be Zaire. But thank god he's not #6 from Tallahassee.
True .... Jimbo is bringing Golson along slowly. Probably using about 20 percent of the playbook to date. Goal was to get to the bi week 3-0 so that Golson would have two weeks to iron out some development kinks and allow the inexperienced OL to gel a little more. Use the Wake game as a barometer as to how far they have come and start to open up more of the playbook to get ready for Miami, GaTech and Clemson.Nole, the only knock on Golston thus far from a Florida State perspective, is his inability to run the read option. Read this morning that he runs it well in practice, but not well at all in games, and this has been a source of frustration for Jimbo. Otherwise, seems to me he is playing under control and doing exactly what was hoped.
Definitely a work in progress. Four new starters.FSU's O-line is horrible.
63% for a whopping 119 yards and led his offense to a stellar 7 points. No matter how you slice it, 7 points and being shut out for the last 55 minutes of a game on offense stinks. I'm sorry you're all butt hurt and a giant cry baby but even Fisher said the offense was bad. Change your tampon.
Butt hurt? I'm just amazed at your ignorance (especially for a coach).63% for a whopping 119 yards and led his offense to a stellar 7 points. No matter how you slice it, 7 points and being shut out for the last 55 minutes of a game on offense stinks. I'm sorry you're all butt hurt and a giant cry baby but even Fisher said the offense was bad. Change your tampon.
Cool story. No one is spinning anything. Facts are the offensive challenges yesterday were a team thing mostly caused by a young developing OL that has four new starters playing their first game on the road against a very well coached and disciplined defense. Golson played mistake free FB and considering he was hung out to dry most of the night still completed 63 percent of his passes and bailed FSU out with his legs a few times and covered the betting line. Perhaps not the stellar performance we hope to see as the schedule toughness but a win is a win.Ignorant is trying to spin that performance into big time QB play. BTW if Kizer completes 63% of his passes for 119 yards and leads ND to 7 points. ND will lose by 4 TD to G Tech..
It was awesome how he told that girl at the bar that he could buy her in two years. Love that guy.Yeah Bodi, Travis Rudolph is as good a kid as he is a player. He's a ND RKG All Day long. I tried the best I could but failed to sway him!!! I hope he ends up playing with a better QB than #6 his last couple of years.
