I know, I know, Golson always looks good in practice but when the game starts he goes right back to "happy feet - careless hands"....

I say whoever starts, both will take a lot of snaps. "Ultimately, Kelly and the offensive staff understand that. And they also know that after living and dying with Golson in 2014, they’ll need both of their quarterbacks to push each other, making the turnovers and mistakes that plagued Golson’s game dealbreakers." http://irish.nbcsports.com/2015/04/09/irish-qb-battle-with-understandably-head-into-fall-camp/

looking at Everett Wednesday," Kelly said.

force Golson to commit to the team without knowing his fate

Brian Kelly's Approach to QB Competition Should Force Everett Golson to Stay

the real deal

The only reason Golson would leave is ego. He's not an NFL prospect. He'll get a chance to play a bunch this season at ND. Starting from scratch at another school won't be wise.

Re:

watching some 2012 highlights and the way he used both qbs really was the difference that year.

It seems like Kelly knows what situations his guys will thrive in and I believe he can make it work with both guys in 2015.

Re:

DIP
ideally, if EG could eliminate turnovers, given the talent at RB and WR and his passing abilities, having such a QB utilize those talents is better than relying on the individual efforts of a run first pass second QB who would dominate the offense. With EG there is also a concern about leadership.

Re:

I it depends on what coach Sanford does and seeing who fits in it

If he desides to do what coach Meyer done then MZ is the guy. If he is looking to throw more then Golson is it.

I do agree if Golson can cut down the TO's then he can do things Tony Rice done at ND
