Totally winnable game !!! And I think all of us are getting caught up in the emotion of the situation.

There is little doubt that our offense remains broken against real opponents.

That having been said, before I spiral out of control, I wanted to turn a negative into a positive.

With the exception of a few ill timed penalties and that one long pass, I thought this was the best the defense has looked in years.

Agreed. D is much better and will win us a few games. Offense is poor. I like Wimbush, but he lacks that killer instinct and is hesitant.

The defense played their ass off. They deserved a better fate. The offense blows. Kelly can't get the job done against good teams. That game was there for the taking. You're at home. You get a solid effort from your D. Your specialty as a coach is offense, and you can't finish. Same old story.

Missed most of the game (traveling out in the far west), but what little I saw (4th quarter), looks like ND had no running game and the passing plays were so, so, so slow to develop ... gave GA's defense line time to pressure Wimbush and force him to throw the ball away or throw bad passes.
