Ever since Heistand came on board we've pretty much cleaned up on top 100 national talent all along the offensive line.

+ Program has secured commitments from nations best OL recruits consistently without long drawn out battles (they all reference Heistand as somebody they want to play for).
+ Develops these players into top NFL prospects
+ Control the line of scrimmage -- playaction was nasty this year due to the offensive line dominance
+ 2 deep with elite talent along the OL
+ Good coach/master technician/NFL resume/players love him.
+ Happy as a career oline coach (not pulling a Warriner/ditching the program for a promotion)

Very underrated reason NDs offense has been so good the last couple years ... and why the oline is in such a deep/healthy position.

Chase, I agree...but it wasn't that long ago that we were bitching about our OL play, and many were blasting Harry. Our OL came of age in last year's Music Bowl, and they haven't looked back since. As you state, it is really encouraging to have the skill set at two deep, and know there will not be a huge drop off from one year to the next. Harry is a great asset, and sure as hell should be appreciated. Despite all the accolades appropriately thrown Kizer's way, I think he would have struggled if not for the excessive time he is afforded by this OL.

Credit need be given to CBK who has done an outstanding job in assembling a staff, rebuilding that staff when opportunities arise and for building a solid top 15 team with every reason to believe they will stay in the NC hunt while doing things the right way.

Cheeseball, I normally don't like a thing you say. That said, you knocked this one out of the park. HH has been the biggest difference of why ND is on the national stage again.

Can Kelly win a big game????

harry is one of the best teachers currently out there. that said i thought the line this year has been good but certainly not great. stanley is clearly an elite talent. can't think of a previous nd linemen that possessed his agility level. too many inconsistencies on the interior for me. nelson being banged up hasn't helped. i am encouraged by elmers improvement the last third of the season. if he can ever develop some consistency he can make himself some money in a few years. martins leadership will be missed but from a skill set standpoint the younger players currently on the roster will be an upgrade. mcglinchey continues to get better. the future is certainly bright.

Dittos. I expect McGlinchey to be better than Stanley!
