I've visited this site for a long time mostly as a reader not a poster. I came here for a short break from the world a couple times a day to read about one of my favorite things. No break here anymore.

I expect to be berated and insulted for really no reason. Just felt like posting anyway. I'll check back in in September maybe the board will improve by then. But I fear it's so far gone that it's not likely.

^ much of your 'complaint' is true, all you can do is not add to the arrogance, rudeness, close-mindedness, almost 'mean'... etc.

That the forum displays that atmosphere is usually stems from just a dozen or so posters.

Return when the season is underway and focus on football resumes.

This will cheer you up. Is Jurkovec the best QB recruit you've seen come to ND? (I know JC was #1 but J has such size and speed!) His feel for the pocket. The throw he makes at 1:20 is pro-like dart. And, man, this kid is fast when he takes off. I do like that he is sticking in the pocket more this year. Wow. I watches his tape at a recent camp and it was impressive. (And who is the tall WR he is throwing to?)

A couple of thoughts from someone who didn't even make it through Freshman football:

1. He seems to have a very quick release;
2. Great ball placement and patience
3. He better learn to slide or he is going to have his head taken off at the college level.

Miss the old posters such as NDsince35, oletexcoach, etc ... a few of the old holdovers (such as IIO) are still here, but don't post as often as before.

The ignore function works well -- except that you miss parts of dialogue -- which can be both good and bad.

You silly person -- the board at this time of year is like the Spring Game -- getting the kinks out. Come fall and the real football season -- the bats will be out in full force! Being berated and insulted will be mild days for you!
