This is a copy and paste from TMB. Another boards insanity always makes me feel better.

What REALLY Happened???

I, like everyone else on this board, have spent the past 48 hours pondering the meaning of life and where we go from here. However, this has not hindered my investigation into what really occurred this past Saturday. Rewatching the game it is clear that this game was not taken seriously. Jet Sweeps with JTrav, KZ lining up at running back, never taking the points in the redzone, continuously running Toafili into a brick wall, etc.... I'm not sure what the gameplan was, and honestly, I don't think Norvell had one. I seriously believe Mike Norvell had no plan entering this game. That brings me to my next point.

How did we get Mike Norvell? It seems as if he had been passed over by numerous P5 programs previously, but there was no public reason. Key word -- public. As we took a deep dive into the background of Coach Mike during our coaching search, we quickly discovered he had a foggy history with gambling troubles and philandering with young co-eds, which has been corroborated by numerous reliable sources here in the south.

This brings me to my final point. Are you telling me that Mike Norvell, world-class degenerate gambler and hornier than Tiger Woods at a Denny's, 1) had no money/bet/wager on Jacksonville St in any form and 2) has been completely focused on the job at hand and hasn't been distracted by the ludicrous amount of 20 year old smokeshows he's been bagging under the radar? Just like there's a reason kids are in the transfer portal, there's a reason our buddy Mikey was passed over by other similar programs. We've seen Jameis shave points before, so what would make you so certain that the man with the egregious gambling history wouldn't do the same thing? Connect the dots, fellas. The man is unfit for the job, and when it does come out that Mike had some racks on Jax St +28 and slammed Jax St Moneyline +1200, I won't say I told you so. Slub Out.

Open Letter to Norvell

Coach, this is going to be a long, difficult road. It's likely you knew that when you took this job, but now you know for sure. You've been successful in your prior jobs, and over time with your focus, energy and passion you'll be successful at FSU.

You inherited quite the situation here. You have a fan base that is used to winning, but players who are not. You are the 3rd HC in 4 years, and I'm sure it's proving difficult to get the players collectively focused on breaking habits and playing winning football. It's obvious many of the guys are playing hard and doing their best, but until that translates to the entire roster we are going to experience what we saw against Louisville and Pitt. Most of the upperclassmen are probably ready to move on with life, and it's hard to blame them.

Tune out the noise and keep focusing on the future. Those of us who have closely followed FSU over the past 4 years know that this will take time. I'm excited to see what you can do with a couple of full recruiting cycles and spring practices. I know you will work 24/7 to recruit football players who want to play winning football.

The thought of a quick turn-around was exciting, but we now know that isn't reality. We look forward to seeing improvement, even if it's not obvious each and every Saturday in the fall. We look forward to seeing a full team having fun playing football again. It will happen, and Go Noles.

My Letter to Taggart, I mean to Norvell

This goes in tomorrow's mail:
Coach Norvell,
I’ve been a Seminole fan for over 40 years, witnessing many highs and lows over the decades – But nothing has ever been as pathetic as last night’s loss.
You seem like a great guy, with much going for you….but not many high school coaches would have been dumb enough to leave in a base defense on the last play of the game. That blatant display of stupidity was the cherry on top of a night filled will senseless penalties and inexcusable lackluster effort. You have embarrassed the entire Seminole Nation!
I truly hope you find the answers and turn us around. I hope you continue your recruiting success. And I pray you can return us to being a perennial top 10 team again. I’m hoping for all these things because the current state of our program is 100% unacceptable – you need to man-up and fix it!

This loss might cause my divorce

She's been with me since the 2011 season... through the NC State debacle.. the UNC kick debacle.... the National Championship.. Willie... but this loss.. my reaction to this loss was it.. She's done. the might be the worst night of my life..... Noles? any help out there?

Was a BELIEVER but I’m DONE now…
Not wasting any more time with this program this season. I listen to all the sugar coated BS from the coaches to those at 247 watching practices who don’t shoot straight and give honest “opinions” with the state of the O and D along with the continued mental errors and discipline on the current roster. This team is a below average D1 team and we are F’d moving forward with recruiting and having any national relevance. Hate to say we are atleast 4-5 years away from a consistent .500 program but we are DONE this year and for the next 1-2 achieving that without coordinator turnover and a miracle… Never thought I would say this but I’m not wasting anymore time watching this ***** this year no matter what happens next week. I realize this is a business, but being straightforward from a fan and former D1 athlete perspective is more acceptable than the koolaid ive been fed for months on end. Expectations are set based off your observations which are no where near accurate. Sometimes feelings need to be hurt, even if it hurts your access to the team. Reality is what it is, and tonight shows me we are still the same team we were the last 2-3 years without any real improvement… I would prefer starting every backup or underclassman vs trying to salvage the unsalvageable with about 7-8 guys who are still playing.

We are not a good team and it needs to be said!.. Being the bad guy in a press conference by asking the hard questions is what you have/get paid to do!! Period. I’ll see if anything changes on that end moving forward the next couple weeks, otherwise I know it’s a business and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. Which will lead to other decisions I’ll make once a subscription is due… Tough night, and decisions ahead for all those involved with what we saw. Just one mans opinion and don’t care what anyone else has to say about it!…

Need a Disciplinarian…

It’s literally that simple. Helton drops a pass that you couldn’t have handed to him any better, he gets another 2-3 deep balls called for him. Jones makes some godawful plays, they leave him out there. Lucas… Dotson… I mean the list goes on.

We need a coach that is yanking kids for their on the field performance and getting in their faces. A lot of this is an effort and enthusiasm issue. This team played with zero “want to” last night outside of #11.

Nobody responds to a putz. Need the fear of god in the kids, every damn play.

Not Quitting on Norvell

Zero excuse for last night. Zero.
Norvell did not mince his words.
He did not invoke political spin.
He accepted 100% responsibility
said he failed to prepare his team.
Then he apologized and promised it will not happen again.
We have ten games remaining.
Too early to quit on Norvell.
Too early to quit on this team.

We can still win the ACC!

Just to add a little levity to all this…in all seriousness I’m really at a loss. I was at the GT game in 15’ with the blocked kick return to lose. Thought that was the most surreal ending I’d ever scene, but this one has taken it.
