Harbaugh to Indianapolis?

If Harbaugh doesn't take the Indy job ,maybe Kelly would be considered . Kelly o's not at ND for the long haul.

As far as Harbaugh ,it would be very tough for him to leave his alma mater ,Michigan ,after one year .Harbaugh loves Michigan and imagine how the students and alumni would react.

No way Harbaugh leaves after 1 year .Maybe in 5 years after he has built Michigan into a top ten program ,he might move on to another pro job ..My opinion ,seems to me, he has coached in college at the University of San Diego, Stanford, and now at Michigan, but some where down the line ,Harbaugh would like to get back to the pros .

jimboy has unfinished business in the NFL. As competitive as he is - he will be back to the NFL to try and win that super bowl. He cant let his brother have one and not him. I'd be shocked if left Mich after 1 season. Maybe after 5 years then he bolts back to the NFL

Attractive NFL gig or not, he's not leaving Michigan after ONE year.
Not going to do that to his alma mater, no way.

The Colts gig would fit him perfectly and he would probably love to
coach where he played a lot of his career, but the timing just isn't right.

Jim is known as an abrasive personality, and even a jerk by some.
But even he wouldn't leave Michigan hanging like that.

For $10 million? Ultra competitive and didn't win the Super Bowl. He can't even go to a family gathering without being second fiddle to brother Jim. I think he would be very tempted, at the least.

Every time Harbaugh opens his mouth, he sounds like a nutjob. I think he will wear out his welcome at Michigan sooner than later, but I don't see him leaving after a year. Maybe after 3 years when he still can't get past OSU and MSU but by then his stock may be lower.

Again - the $10 million number is a figment of someone's imagination, so let's not use
that as a barometer.

If we're playing hypotheticals - $10 million or $15 million - I just can't see him leaving
UM after one year. He would be seen as the biggest prick in sports (not that he cares).
Put him on par with Lane Kiffen.

Money talks, I know, but he has plenty already. It would be a straight up jerk move
to bail after one year. Sometimes the offer is flattering, and normally would be something
he'd jump at, but the timing of this just isn't right. He'd pass.

I know this is just a troll thread, but you are correct. He isn't going anywhere. Last year he had interest from Oakland, the New York Jets and the Chicago Bears. Oakland is a bad franchise but the other two are very solid. After you are making $5 million or so, it isn't about just money. It is about doing what you want and what is best for your family. If I had to bet, I would say that Harbaugh will be at Michigan longer than Saban, Meyer or Brian Kelly are at their respective schools.

Edit: an NFL guy weighs in the odds of Harbaugh and or Brian Kelly leaving for a pro job

He is kind of tightly wound to say the least but I did find this comment from him to be funny.......

"I take a vitamin every day," Harbaugh said on his radio show Monday night. "It's called a steak."

He is a funny guy. He was kidding last week about having his kids change Halloween costumes so they could trick or treat twice in the neighborhood. LOL!

This is also the same Harbaugh that threw Meat Chicken under the bus about players going to class so I think he is only loyal to himself.

Have to admit, it is really hard to see Harbough leaving his university after one year, and all the crap that would spew from that fan base. it's equally hard to see him turning down a perfect fit in the NFL, similar to Lou's love affair With ND. Not sure this is the perfect fit as it became apparent in SF that Jim wanted Pete Carroll like control over personal decisions. If that were part of the offer, I think UM is history.

Jim Harbaugh also has unfinished business at Michigan and won't be leaving Ann Arbor anytime soon.

Changes I do see, Richt is gone, likely replaced by Jumbo Fisher who wants out of the mess in Tallahassee. Richt will go to Miami.

By "mess" I assume you mean his free reign to do whatever the hell he wants??
And doing so while he polishes his National Championship trophy?

The "mess" is that he has allowed criminal behavior in his program and it is starting to catch up with him. The "mess" is that his wife left him for her personal trainer and he is a joke.

The "mess" is that his past is catching up with him and he needs out!

Crazy person. None of that is close to the truth except his wife was cheating on him. That's on her.

Nice hijack, by the way.
