Seriously....I agree. Pooling money to put an add up in a local newspaper? It has already been decided that he is coming back for one more year. Either support the team and see how it plays out, or if your disgust for our HC is so great.... simply do not follow the program until he is fired.

I agree we do need to stop the personal attacks, it doesn't do any good. As for accepting a coach that has failed any reasonable standard for ND football... never.
Just because Jack and the administration have decided that it is economically beneficial to keep a failed coach does not mean I have to accept it. I like ND football too much to watch it being destroyed by; Kelly, Swarbrick and the administration because their only concern in regards to football is how much money it generates.

Oh, no. I'm going to watch every game and enjoy the beat downs Kelly will get next year. Watching him squirm and look confused is priceless. All I hope for is the student-athletes to stay healthy for the next coach in 2018.
Some people go too far I agree but as long as it's things like ads in papers and nothing more I say no problem. It wont change the way I follow the football team but at the same time this team needs to show vast improvements next year. By that winning more than this year is not acceptable. I will say a minimum 9 wins and finish the season in the top 25.
9 wins with roughly 9 to 10 possibly returning on offense 8 on defense. Unacceptable! Strive for more. That statement's as complacent as this program. No that is'nt a personal attack it's a difference in opinion!
"Complacent" We won 4 games dude, you don't go from winning 4 games to a national championship. It's called being realistic vs unrealistic. 9 wins is realistic then after that the following season(s) expectations rise. Its called building. Freshman don't come back the next year and turn into all Americans they should get better than the previous year which should be obvious.
So not only does he get a pass for having a historically bad year but then we have to lower our expectations next season with the same coach? So what you are really telling us is that we shouldn't expect much out of Kelly until year ten.
Lowering our expectations next season because he did such a terrible job this season has to be the worst excuses I've heard from the Kelly side. Exactly when does he become accountable for ANYTHING? Best case scenario we shouldn't expect back-to-back 10 win season until Kelly is in his 10th year.
Sorry, I'm hoping ND finishes with 4 or less wins again next season because stupidity and greed deserve to be rewarded.
Java I said 9 wins minimum, that's a number depending the body of work during that season and how it looks we can discuss it during the offseason. Lowering expectations would be saying we won 4 games this year so if we win 7 next year its ok. No its not and Kelly should be dismissed. Wether you or I root on Saturdays it won't make a difference in the outcome of the season. I will always be a fan no matter what. I wouldn't tell you your wrong for what you feel by hoping we win less than 4 games because that is your opinion but I won't do that. I would do that with my pro team because where you draft actually matters. In college it holds no bearing.
Ok, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that 9 wins was expecting too much, my bad.
You are correct that we can't impact the outcome of any games. Fans at the stadium can impact it to a degree but 1, 2 or 1000 alone cannot. That said I am standing by my vow not to buy any ND merchandise until ND makes some changes. The first one is getting rid of Kelly, regardless of his record next year. IMO, I want sustained success and that mean 3-4 years where we win 9 regular season games and that is never going to happen with Kelly.
I tend to think a "knuckledragger" is a simpleton who you can feed any banana to and he walks away, peacefully, eats and enjoys. The banana is the Brian Kelly retention.
