Guy’s we will miss Tommy

Parker will prove to be a better OC than Rees. Rees is solid. Nothing great.

Parker is going to take the offense to the next level this season. We will break the record for most points scored in a season at ND this year
If this is all true, why didn't Nick Saban hire Gerad Parker as the Alabama OC?

Who cares. He tried to hire the guy from Washington I believe and was turned down.

Why did BB hire 2 OCs last year and fire them after 1 awful year

Why did Brian Kelly hire BVG?

Why did Kelly hire Polian at LSU when his STs were trash here and cost him games at LSU?

Your point is idiotic

You're Welcome Mrs. Parker.

Is this a joke? Lol

Average head coaches have won National Championships. Multiple

Now you are saying an average OC can't make a Playoff and get blown out?

Wtf are you even talking about
Tommy is not an average OC. You don’t get a job at Bama by being average.

Who are the good and who are the great OC’s in college football?

Who is the average HC that won a NC?

As of today, ND has hired an unproven OC to lead their team to a championship. Do we all agree with that?

Yet, people on this board are calling an OC that lead ND to the playoffs an average OC.

So let’s hire a guy that has done absolutely nothing as an OC and in exchange let a guy that coached the offense to a playoff game just walk away.

Only ND fans would celebrate the exit of a proven OC in exchange for a TE coach that has never accomplished anything as an OC.

Still SMH.

Don’t get the “Parker” hire. That’s a fail, I guess time will tell but this is ND. Should just be the next HC comes to ND as an OC stop.

I think TR was awesome. Would love to have him, not as I posted I think he out couched himself at times. MF has to rely on an OC so much. They should have gotten a fallen angel.

I feel we should have gone after tcu offensive coordinator. Riley’s brother if I remember correctly.

At best, Parker might maintain what Tommy did. Other than that, I do see the ND offense reaching the next level under Parker. Unless, as I already stated, Sam has a Heisman trophy season.
Tommy didnt exactly blow the doors off here. He was “fine”. Not much better than that. Had some great moments. Had some ugly ones. All in all…..pretty damn inconsistent.

No doubt that Parker “can” go out this season and be better.

From "...pretty damn inconsistent..." to 3 years, 6 million guaranteed as OC at Alabama, at age 30.

At least when TR took over he had some experienced play callers around. Kelly helped with the transition. Parker has no one around him with offensive play calling experience.

OSU we put up 10, 3 on one lucky play.

Even Clemson the D really scored 21 of the points. Same as Syracuse. At times, brilliant. Other times like “WTH”.

Would have liked to seen a pedigree in but time will tell.

Why did average coaches get a NFL OC job and get fired by BB the next year?

It happens.

Tr was average to above average at ND. Very easily replaceable

Then you expect him not to do well.

Let's revisit this at the end of the year.

I say we score more than any TR offense scored at ND. Do you disagree?

Let's put up some of our talk. Save this and come back. We'll see who was right and wrong

Absolutely correct

Has no bearing on what he did while he was here

That is set in stone. Hos resume here is complete. We know what he was

Coker, Chizik(awful), Orgeron

Larry Coker is not average! At Miami 60-15 with a championship. First 3 years only lost 3 games. Won the Rose, Orange and Peach bowl.

Gene Chizik: still went 14-0 won a championship. Wheels fell off after that. Still went 33–19 at Auburn. Not average

Ed is a good coach period. Nothing average about the championship ring on his finger.

In the past 20 years there has only been what 10 maybe???

If you win a NC you are not average period.

Parker will not be better than TR. That is what I am saying.

Yes, I hope you can post all of my wrong predictions about Parker after ND wins a championship. Man that crow would taste great!!!! I just don’t see it.

Parker will have to win at least a playoff game to be better than Tommy.

Again, I hope I am wrong. You won’t have to repost anything I say about Parker. If ND runs the table and at least wins a playoff game I will immediately say I was wrong

However, if the opposite happens, you need to do like wise.

I don't understand the negative comments about Tommy Rees from certain posters. I was more than satisfied with his work as OC at Notre Dame, and I would much rather have Tommy than the guy we hired.

Great. Bama throws that kind of money around.

I like Tommy. Wish he stayed. But the offense won’t take major steps backwards because Tommy Rees is no longer here.

He couldn’t (yet) develop TB. The O was stymied several times on his watch. I could bring up at least a half dozen times when the O couldn’t move, and Tommy had no answer.

Rees left, I didn’t lose any sleep over it. Parker will be fine.

Exactly!!! These guys that say all these negative comments about Tommy will wish he was the ND OC.

Same thing I said about Book. The QB position has been terrible since Book left.

Given the time, Tommy developed 3-star Ian Book into 40 starts, a 35-5 record at Notre Dame, and an NFL roster after being drafted in round 4.

My biggest know was his lack of high level QBs. However, the way Book developed under Tommy was amazing.

Why get a guy that has proven nothing as an OC???

You're a fool then

Chizik is 38 and 38 as a head coach and hasnt been hired as a HC since 2012. He was awful. Cam Newton made him

Those are just 3 average ones off the top of my head

That's you. Doesn't mean others think that

And the results will be the evidence. Not our opinions

No he wouldn't. Tr didnt win a playoff game so why would Parker have to to be better?

What if his offense is just better than what we had with Tommy

Let's see who is right. Save this. Dont be scared
