F+ has these teams almost identically ranked. GT is at #43 and Vanderbilt is just ahead ranked at #42 with a .45 & .46 overall F+ respectively.

Well, the SEC, after the humiliation of OU losing to Navy, is saving some face with Vandy putting a bit of a beatdown on GTech. Vandy is legitimately good, they really were a good team even though they only ended up 6-6 including their big Bama upset. So this is sweet redemption for the SEC.

I was fortunate to watch the last two minutes of Alabama/Vanderbilt

THAT was what college football should be all about

I am happy for Clark Lea, a seemingly good man who deserves the best.

I know, he was awesome. I wonder if he would have gotten the ND job if he hadn't left for Vandy. Probably not, but if he had, I think he could have been successful here too. And a really good fit. Hard to be much of a better fit than MF, but pretty close.

I think given the choice, he’d always choose his Alma mater though and there’s nothing wrong with that. Vandy is fortunate to have him.

Lea is an excellent coach; I am sure he wants to get a SEC championship for Vandy which I would truly love to see.
