i know he thought he should have been POY in the ACC, but no way. As good as he is sometimes, he can be a real train wreck at others. Leaves the floor way to often on passes.

He thought he should have been POY and so did many other "knowledgeable" individuals. But in the end, ACC FREAKIN CHAMPS!!! That's what matters now.
Grant has to get his shot going next week and beyond. Props to him for hitting all those FT's. Very clutch. ND fans that only follow the football team missed out on this team. ND is basically the most entertaining team to watch in the country. What a ride!
ACC player of the year? From what I've watched he's not the best player on ND-haven't been impressed.
Grant is not only the best player on the floor he is unselfish and makes his teammates better - if you can't see that then you don't understand basketball which is a team sport - name one thing grant doesn't do very well? He scores he shoots he penetrates he passes he defends he rebounds he makes free throws and he leads

^i agree, but he leaves hit feet all to often. For me, The best player on the court in our last 2 games has been Zach. He has stepped up big time, second best was a tie between Steve and Pat. All that, we are talking fine line here, total team effort, and they all deserve praise, including the staff.
Zach has been fun to watch and given great efforts he's hardly been our best player - look at the stat lines of the players he's been matched up on - totally agree great team effort and great effort by zach but grant is a star - dj is also very very talented and everyone plays their role perfectly
We'll agree to disagree on Grant being a "great" player, but we can agree on the total team effort. Good chemistry on this team. I believe that is fostered through the coaching staff. One reason why those in the know have recognized Mike Brey with Coach of the Year trophies and a National Coach of the Year honor.
If you haven't heard Jack Nolan's call of the last few minutes of last night's game, you need to find an archive and listen to it. It's totally priceless! He's an Irish homer for sure but he's been calling ND games for 33 years for heaven's sake! He was near tears last night at the end!
