The QB battle. And takes the first snap at Texas.

I am still a huge Zaire fan. And think he is a hell of an athlete and leader figure. And all in all I won't be upset with either choice. But I think that Kizer ultimately wins it. And his height and mass on the run are the difference

His ceiling is muuuuch higher imo. Size makes a huge difference in that.

Assuming his mobility is 100 percent back to where he was last year, I'd go with Zaire. He has the stronger arm, throws a tighter ball and seems to be a natural leader. Wasn't he voted captain last year? That's saying something given the experience on last year's team.

Idk dude. He looked very rough against Virginia. I know it was but his 3rd or 4th game but some of those passes though? I'd feel better with Kizer under center.

Personally, I think ND will be fine with either one under center. Kelly just has to manage it so that it does not become a distraction or divisive in the locker room.

And how does BK do that? In thinking about this, I too think Kizer is the best choice based on his having a full (and pretty damn successful) season under his belt. I am assuming he would have to tell Zaire (or vice-versa) the usual 'you're one play away from being the starter (and of course both know that all too well). If he starts Kizer, I'm sure there will be packages and situations he will get Zaire on the field.

Saying BK has to manage it is of course true, but really, really difficult. I think none of us want to see a back and forth approach.

I'm not sure how either of them will perform without Fuller. We have more tape on Kizer and most of his highlights are actually Will Fuller highlights. Zaire beat him out last year and that means the coaches saw something in him that pushed him ahead of Kizer in practice. They both will struggle if they cannot spread the football with multiple receivers this year.

what matters is either one of these guys is game ready at any time to enter a game....without a drop off.
