Don't hate it. We knew that within three - five years it was likely to happen. The most important thing at this point is freeman is surrounded by his guys that will coach to his standard.

I'm not sold on the Chris Watt to ol coach, I simply think he's not ready, but maybe if he stays on harry helps out. I do hope they at least interview externally.

Time to get on board though. It's not fair the hand freeman was dealt but we need to support his efforts here

Mirer03. While I really do not like the way JS handled this mess. I am gonna be on board because if nothing else, it will show whether this was the right hire or not. JS could look good or very bad in all this. Your last sentence is what bothered the majority of us. Freeman was dealt a bad hand. Yet if we say we are Irish fans, we gotta root for the whole staff if not just for Freeman himself to succeed DESPITE JS.

How do you know he isn't ready?

Cant wait to read all of Gerads accomplishments that lead to this promotion beyond of course that period of time when he was Marcus Freeman’s ride to work.

He would have been much further advanced in his career if not for his dui

Im not going to destroy Parker because of what didn't happen due to administration

I'll have an open mind until he proves he's not a good OC

great choice; he already has a working relationship with the head coach and of the offense!

OK, but this is also true

Disappointing. Hope I’m wrong. But I think freeman got a big wake up call about the admin.
They really don’t want to win championships.

What a disaster. Holy shit, man. This is like everything ND ever gets shit for, like a worst-case scenario come true. Or even worse than that. Oh, and I'm sure Parker really did knock it out of the park. Grand slam HR for that guy no doubt....

It’s like he owns the last shrimp boat on the bayou

Good luck to him. Well, he should have a lot more talent than he had to work with at WVU in 2020, when they went 6-4. Their starting QB was a guy named Jarret Doege, who's transferred twice since and currently plays for Troy.

I hope he is. Just don't know. You have one of the top 5 ol rooms in the country. Handing it over to a guy that was released one year after his only stint as an ol coach without looking outside doesn't seem like doing your due diligence. That's nothing against watt, but he might need some more experience for what will be expected of this ol.

Well JS and company are going to look like either geniuses or complete failure by this time next year.

The good news such as it is - if this all fails then JS is probably out the door as well

it's officially official now (per ESPN)

this quote was pretty interesting from the link updated in the OP

While Ludwig's buyout of at least $2 million was at the heart of negotiations, and certainly caused some sticker shock this past weekend, Notre Dame sources told ESPN that the Irish communicated they were willing to pay it. By that point, Ludwig had already flown back to Utah and had conversations that influenced his decision to stay there.

What “unfair” hand was Freeman dealt ?

And who dealt him that hand ?

you’re a tool.
sjb, without doubt the worst troll in the history of this website, is probably creaming his jeans right about now. This is what he lives for. Weirdo, creeper troll that he is. This is a great success for him, a veritable field day. His whole purpose for being to throw himself at the feet of the ND, dutifully carrying their water in the most deliberately infuriating, transparently pious manner possible. And what an opportunity this disaster presents for him.

WTF that psycho gets out of so smarmily playing that role all these years, you'd have to ask Sigmund Freud I suppose....
