In this battle of attrition (both teams missing multiple starters) I think ND runs the ball well, Buchner has been been hanging out in the offensive booth during games, I think this helps him and he comes out a bit, 1 TD throwing another two with his legs.

Cocks have been sitting for 30+ days and their end of season momentum is gone. Bowls are odd one game seasons.

Buchner throws for 300 plus ...

Not sure of final, I think it's close. Sc missing starting cornerbacks is the difference. Buchner throws deep for days.

I would hope SCe's missing dlineman allows us to run at will.

I just hope TB doesn't re-injure his shoulder. It would be so much nicer if he could heal up all the way, and give it three four more months before he takes any contact. And of course maybe he does in fact have a complete green light and clean bill of health from every reputable specialist that's seen his chart, but it seems like shoulder injuries tend to get re-injured more easily, and supposedly TB is injury prone to begin with.

But I definitely can understand how MF/Rees REALLY want to win this game.....

Vegas is predicting ND 27 - SC 24, absent the half point.

Buchner is completely overrated. Not playing Angeli is another reason to dislike Freeman and Rees. I am not going to comment on the game. The result is inevitable with USC being the better coached team and end of season momentum carrying forward versus a team with uneven results.

Well I would certainly be interested in Angeli playing. It just sort of feels like TB is perhaps being rushed back into action. Whether it's because he's far and away the best QB on the roster and Angeli just plain sucks, or because they don't want TB to transfer, and thus are anxious, and being overzealous in getting him back into the mix, I get a little funny feeling about our coaches' handling of this bowl game, after the departure of DP. Which of course would be very much of a piece with the seeking out and acquiring of a transfer QB, when our QB room by this point was already fairly established....

F+ has these teams matched almost identically:

ND #30 has a .77 F+
SC #29 has a .78 F+

ND has the better defense, but SC has the better offense, and SC is slightly the better overall team as per their F+. Also, both teams are missing key players which should favor ND since it's the team with the better talent.

Should be fun to watch, my prediction is a close game, more lucky team wins.

That ranking is meaningless
