ESPN posted its list and ND was the only team with three (Clemson, Oklahoma and S Carolina had 2:

Anthonie Knapp 3* NR
Kyngstonn Viliamup Asa 5* 19
Leonard Moore 4* 228

They also included red-shirt Freshman and we had a first teamer and second teamer:

Adon Shuler 3* NR (first team)
Jaiden Ausberry 4* 206 (2nd Team)

(I can't believe Bowen didn't make it - as good as Kynsgston and Jaiden have been, I believe Bowen has been the best behind Jack!)

Three observations:
1. Mickens can sure find diamonds in the rough
2. Marcus is building something special at Notre Dame
3. The future looks bright for this program

Chase, do you think RIvals needs to reappraise its team rankings? Only one top 100 of the five!

Stu, I don’t believe Bowen is a red shirt freshman. This is his third year, isn’t it?

Good catch Telx! No, Bowen is a Sophomore but he played in all 12 games as a Freshman (so no red-shirt). Was in the '23 class with Ausberry and Shuler. He has had such a good season. Man, we are looking good at LB going forward!

Moore is going to be a stud, but will tested big time today

We don’t have any 5*’s per Chase

One of the reasons why ND has so many standout freshmen is due to all the roster attrition/injuries/defections at thin positions that thrust Freshmen players into key roles. These freshmen players were well scouted and developed in a hurry (credit coaching staff).

When a player way out produces their prospect profile its usually due to being underrated/overlooked by the services but also good scheme and player development play a big role as well. ND has a reputation for having one of/the best coaching staffs in the country. And their reputation preceded itself this season.

Just think what this coaching staff could do with a tier 1 roster....I'm talking a roster on the level of programs that have 15 five-star players and nearly half of their 85-man roster comprised of top 100 talent. ROFL. THIS is what im constantly trying to hammer home.

There's so much upside to be had with a higher tier of talent for this coaching staff to mold, scheme for, and develop. But ND REFUSES to invest the types of resources necessary to get better talent.
