Hope I made u all smile. These kids in recruiting can certainly be a mess to deal with. It’s tough on coaches Very few kids handle themselves with dignity. NIL or not, there is no excuse for much of the poor manners and behaviour. Every now and then you do get a kid and a family who are decent honorable people.

We are fortunate to have a good number of them at ND As you go thru life, how you deal with people will be one of the ultimate definers of being a good person.

For every Dante Moore, Peyton Bowen, and Eric Loring, there are Tons of quality kids. Not all pick ND but they make their decision with grace. Sounds like Nate Roberts is facing a turn in the road and is confused. Based on reports his family so far is ignoring calls they used to take so this recruitment saga is very much in doubt and not a good spotlight on people skills

He’s officially gone. Would have been a good get but not the end of the world. I saw the headline that we lost our top 2025 commit and misread it as 2024 and thought we lost Cam for a sec

Nate Roberts’ “liked” a tweet that said:

“They told him they wouldn't recruit any other TEs, and he committed. Then they recruited other TEs.
Don't lie to recruits.”

Not sure the validity but since Roberts’ acknowledged this tweet, we know this is at least his mindset. Unfortunate.

We don’t want players who are scared of competition. Onwards.

Likely flipping to OU sooner than later. Apparently ND (Parker) stopped recruiting him after he committed and lied saying they were only recruiting him. War Daddy killing it with tight end recruiting. OU media reporting he’s done with ND.

Kid is barely 17 years old. How seriously can you take a verbal commitment? Thats like thinking his first girlfriend should be his wife. He hasn't lived long enough to define his future. In rare cases....that happens....most of the time? No. Fact is....all of these verbals are just holding hands with ND. Reminds me of the "Ham and Egg Principle": When a chicken lays an egg, she's made a contribution....but that hog's committed. These verbals are contributions...not commitments.

I dont care that he changed his mind. Nor did I harp on it. I posted one time about it

But the way he did handle it was childish regardless if he is 14, 16 or 40
