If Texas fires Charlie Strong, and USC doesn't immediately grab him up, I'd like Kelly to offer him the DC position (with the idea of taking over down the line?) This is what great coaches -- who have healthy egos, but are secure and not threatened by strong co-coaches -- like Saban and Meyer do. They hire HCs in coordinator positions (Schiano and Kiffin) with great success.

If Strong came to ND the recruits would follow.

Charlie Strong is not the answer...because the Defensive Coordinator is not the answer. Notre Dame needs a new head coach who has a total commitment from Day 1, to all three phases of the game: offense, defense and special teams. If Brian Kelly needs to be dragged, kicking and screaming....to this reality after seven years....and I think he does...its time for a change at the top.

Strong is a big hit with boosters wives. Doubt he ever coaches in any capacity at ND
