Urban gets him back to Florida.
Was assistant at Stanford with Harbaugh
Harbaugh gets him back as d coordinator last year at Michigan and they dominated on defense.
First year head man at Maryland currently
4-0.
Crushed Purdue last week 50-0
He's 38 years old.
If Urban and Harbaugh brought him in twice.
I am definitely interested to see what the results look like at Maryland this year.

We just need to see a new coach manning the sidelines in 2017. Brian Kelly has blown so many games with tons of talent. The talent isn't that bad. The coaching is.

He put together a great staff at Maryland. Hired Mike London former head coach at Virginia as defensive line coach. They had an excellent defense in his time there even though the team didn't perform
Hired Scott Shafer ex head coach at Syracuse as defensive coordinator
and hired young superstar Walt Bell
as his offensive coordinator.
Bell is a star in the making. Posting year after year of record breaking offenses. At Memphis, Southern Miss and Arkansas State. It seems with an emphasis on the rushing game.
Their recruiting in 2016 was way up and 2017 looks awesome.
We have to be all over this guy - DJ Durkin.

I think ND would grind a young coach into sawdust. Give him 5 years to develop and he might be ready to replace Coach Kelly in 5 to 9 years.

This.^^^^^ I'm not saying that Durkin won't end up being a good coach---and possibly good enough for ND at some point. All I'm suggesting is that we need to be careful about anointing him the next savior based on four games (which included a beat-down of a horrible Purdue team).

Then he can still recruit junior college players there unlike at ND. More importantly any success at Maryland almost guarantees you a job. One bad season at ND, and you are gone. In the Big 10 your guaranteed atleast 5-6 winnable games a year outside of OSU or UM, and a decent bowl game every year. Minum

Urban took him twice- Harbaugh grabbed him twice.

Turned 2015 Michigan defense into a great defense with Hoke personnel.

If this guy wasn't the real deal- Harbaugh would have left Mattison as the Defensive Coordinator.

As for Plank, I don't know what he thinks or says. For his business, it's healthy for Notre Dame football to be better than Maryland football.
