At the bottom of your posts, there are links to edit, delete and report. Hit the delete link, give the reason why you are deleting the post and hit delete or if you happen to change your mind you can cancel the request.

Got it thanks. I was looking where they put all your own posts.

I delete a lot of old post and current ones too. I never give a reason and they never question me.

I imagine that one day my old posts may make their way into the Library of Congress or maybe some institute for higher learning, so I never delete anything. It would be like erasing part of the Mona Lisa.

I have deleted double posts, posts on the wrong thread and topics I decided to reword. I recently for the first time deleted several posts in a thread that was just too ornery for me. I also use the edit link quite frequently.;)

Go to one of your posts, click on your handle on the left. You’ll see a summary of number of posts and likes, etc... Just click on the total number of posts, and you will get a listing of your past posts.

I believe when you delete a post, it takes away your number of messages on your counter. Not that is matters, but I noticed once mine went down roughly 20 or so overnight and it was because a post I had been active on was deleted.

You are correct and that's why my count is down on total messages and likes.
