Yep... Those second tier recruiting programs are the worst... That's why in the first 2 years of the CFB playoffs, of the 7 teams that have made the playoffs, 3 of them (Michigan State, Oklahoma and Clemson) fit into the 2nd tier of recruiting programs that Perse laid out the other day. Those teams could get there, but ND certainly can't right?
It's not like we were a missed two-point conversion and a broken coverage away from going to the CFB playoff last year or anything like that... Huggggeeee talent decline was the difference between ND winning and losing those two complete nail biters.
