I would tell the kid his ND offer is good until the end of signing day. As far as ND recruits go, there seems to be an inverse relationship between a kid's recruiting drama and production on the field.

Pennick Would you have said that to Tuitt or Manti? If I recall correctly there was a fair amount of drama involved there also.

Pennick, glad you are posting and not making these decisions. Don't think ultimatums play well with these young guys who have many options. ND will stay engaged until this plays out, and they should. Robertson is a great talent and his expressed interest in academics plays to ND's strength, as well as Stanford's.

If the ultimate goal is to get the kid, giving him an ultimatum does nothing positive. If you had two kids of equal value vying for the spot, that might be different. We don't have that in this case.

Last week I thought for sure he was ND. Today, I'm beginning to think he doesn't end up here. I really hope I'm wrong but the fact he's taking visits after NSD is a huge red flag.

Possibly another Vanderdose. The ND staff knows best on how to handle this situation. But, if the kid still has not picked a team by nsd. He may be more trouble then he's worth. But, like i said the staff will know what to do.

According to him, he is going to decide around the 10th, don't think he feels good about his test score so Stanford is out. No offense don't think Drob ever wanted to come to ND, ND is in the mix because his brother wants him to come to ND. IF and its a big if, Drob makes his official to UGA then he signs with UGA, if he doesn't I think he ends up at Alabama. Mom won't allow him to go where she hasn't seen. Brother has guardianship because of the better education system where brother lives, not because of some family issues, family is close.

If academics
He will end up at UGA or Bama but as of today, UGA is in the lead.
Thanks Mrs Robertson

I think highly of any young man that cancels an official recruiting visit to re-take the SAT/ACT to try to improve the opportunities available to them. Hopefully he uses similar sense to make his decision and picks ND or Stanford so that his life is based on more than just FB in the future.

His waffling seems nothing like Vanderdoes or Neal to me, but I won't pretend to know for sure.

A school he hasn't visited is in the lead 5 days before signing day? Really?

Thats not exactly true, he has been to UGA more than any other school, was at almost all home games this season. His mother is in charge of his recruitment, the chances of him going somewhere she hasn't visited are slim.
Please make sure to inform 247 of your inside sources with this vast knowledge of the situation:

Kthanksbye.

I would bet not a single one of those guys/girls has talked to his mother. If she gives her ok to UGA he goes there, of course that depends on him actually making the trip, if ND was the destination, why is he not going to sign on Feb 3? He has one visit after Feb. 3 scheduled, why take that visit and delay signing if he wasn't seriously considering that school

He will never play in NE NY GB Buffalo PITTSBURGH Philly Chicago Cleveland Cincinnati or any other Northern NFL if hes worried abkut freezing his ass off. Ohh wait he doesnt have a chkice whk drafts him.. the weather argument is funny

I became a recruiting junkie back when Lou was coach. It's taken me over 20 years and lot's of disappointments to get to the point where I don't care what an 18 year old kid thinks of my team. The ones that want to be at ND are the only ones I care about. Many are called but, few are chosen. The kids that sign with the fb factory's I could care less about. To me character is what matters more then academics or athletics. ND generally signs good kids. So the ones who want to spend 3-4 years in South Bend are the true 5 stars in my mind jmo

Seven...cough cough...eight figures buys a lot of warm clothing.
Indeed it is funny.

I hope he goes where HE wants to go. Not where fans of any particular program including Notre Dame want nor where his family wants him to go. My daughter is a senior and she applied to 12 schools. We are letting her choose which school she goes to, of the ones she gets accepted to, of course. Sure we will give her advice but that's it.
