I honestly want to hear the justification of a pick being called on a running play. I know it was a designed pass, but the QB never threw the ball. Wouldn’t that negate the pick call since the QB ran it in? There’s no such thing as pass interference on a running play. The pick essentially becomes a block on a running play

I think they got him for an illegal crack back block. The announcer just misspoke.

Yeah, I’ve heard that now. Still not sure I agree with it. You only see those called when it’s away from the play against a defenseless player in my mind.
